A lot of my effort today was spent pointing out why the case on PMom was stupid. It was stupid regardless of the flip. Very, very stupid. I can look back on this smugly with the flip for sure, but keep in mind that the reason my effort went to waste had nothing to do with me and everything to do with you.

Imagine I said something deep here...
Excerpt from a Berlin News Broadcast

"... police are not commenting on the cause of the crash, but we have confirmation of one fatality. Anonymous sources say the man's name was Geralt Poque, a French citizen traveling in Germany on business. Again, while we have reports that the fiery crash on the A100 was caused when an unmarked van forced the car off of an overpass before speeding away..."

~

"... Poque's dead. And while it's not definitive it was foul play, we've had too many deaths over the past week.
We need answers. Ernie, go through Poque's files, see if there's something that could point to his killer. Everyone else, back onto the streets, but we move in pairs from now on. Find me something."

The other Operatives filed out, leaving Ernie to sort through Poque's papers. The division chief shook his head. "We're going to be here awhile. I'll grab the coffee and be right back." Ernie nodded, already spreading printouts onto Poque's desk. It was going to be a long night, but he had high hopes they would find something.

~

Berlin Team Internal Communications Intercept

...they came into our loving home! Ernie and the division chief were both gunned down in our own offices. The sites were beyond black, and they're still hitting us at will. This team is so hosed.

Poque, NATO Operative and Ernie, NATO Operative/Anti-Russian Specialist have been killed N2. It is now D3. Deadline will be :siren:March 3rd at 10 PM EST:siren:.

I have some information that might help, but before I say anything I want some input. Are we just in a kingmaker situation now? If that's the case then we should no-lunch and try to force the anti-town to target each other.

If there are 3 non-town players and we no-lynch, they kill 2 town players tonight and we lose. Right?

Are we sure it's just three scum? I am pretty sure there must be two scum teams and it'd make more sense to have two teams of two players. If we no lunch, the worst case scenario is that we lose two town and then it's two scum A, two scum B, and one town. Best case scenario, each scum kills a scum and then we're at 3/1/1 and this is winnable.

That's awesome, but if it's three scum,

(a) we lose, and
(b) it would be scum's best interest to try and trick town into a no-lynch.

Who do you guys think is scum and why?

ꜱʜʀɪᴍᴘ?
Well yeah it's not an ideal situation but I think that it's probably the smart play all things considered.

Okay, assuming four town, two scum, and one serial killer, then the following options are possible if we no lunch.

1. Scum kill town. SK kills town. Two town, two scum, and one serial killer alive.

That seems not actually terrible? We have 40% chance of randomly guessing scum, and if the scum and SK take each other out then that's game.

2. Scum kill SK. SK kills town. Three town, two scum. Lylo.

Again, unfortunate but winnable.

3. Scum kill town, SK kills scum. Three town, one scum, one SK.

Again, a 40% chance of hitting anti-town by pure chance.

4. Scum kill SK, SK kills scum. Four town, one scum.

Two chances here, should be impossible to screw up.

Please correct me if I confused something.

While I would hate to accuse you trying to protect your scumbro and not making any attempt to read cases, these were more what I was hoping you would address:

Murmur Twin posted:

:siren: The crux of my argument is that you accused him of pulling the "flavor from my role PM" out of thin air when he clearly referenced it two hours earlier. And then when you cased him, you left this fact (the thing that I feel invalidates the case) out of the quotes you used. I think you're quite good at reading comprehension so I don't feel like you missed it, I think you're trying to deceive.

Your point has been noted, as has my opinion of it (that it's silly to make a move based on guessing what he setup is, as well as dangerous given that the two shadiest players in my opinion are pitching it).
