Same, good opinions. Pinata grew on me. Eastside Moonwalker is still dope tho.

I feel like this exact sequence of gibbs opinion posts has happened before and it will happen again

ps someone should make a playlist that perfectly melds the good parts of ESGN and pinata together thereby creating one great album instead of two ok ones

I would love someone to do this because I can never make it all the way through ESGN, it drags for me.

No people said it's good for a Big Sean album. Important distinction.

Here I took a quick stab at making Evil Pinata:

1. Eastside Moonwalker
2. Bomb
3. Uno
4. 9mm
5. Deeper
6. Came Up
7. High
8. Have U Seen Her
9. Freddie Soprano
10. Dope In My Styrofoam
11. Harold's
12. Thuggin'
13. DOA
14. Paper

These loving skits at the end of songs are making it hard to establish a coherent flow but y'all can fill in the gaps I missed and help sequence better I don't have time right now.

he did but like no one knew the song (college campus). the sound mix was not good and it was difficult to understand him most of the time. at one point he did "move bitch" and when he put the mic to the crowd and they didn't know the verse he yelled at the crowd and restarted the song lol

I feel like maybe you can't fault Luda for this one if the crowd didn't even know the lyrics to Move Bitch.

Nah, that would be Run the Jewels. The problem with Pinata was heightened expectations on the back of tracks like Thuggin and Terrorist, when it was actually a far more mellow album on balance.

First Gibbs thing I ever heard was BFK and the first few tracks on that are still some of my favourite ever. I think the big problem with nearly all of Gibbs stuff is that it's too drat long, his releases nearly always overstay their welcome.

Feels hypocritical to type this as a big Gucci & Lil B fan... but this seems like a problem for most rappers.
Slash the average Migos mixtape in half and you'd have something really great (and still probably at least half an hour long) instead of an endurance test.

But yeah, BFK is one of the few tapes that is great all the way through (and I'd still take off a few tracks - the aggressive ones in the second half)
