Yeah, North are the only victorian team who don't exist off pokie revenue. It's a pity I despise them. I've gone off the ravens on moral grounds since they're a loving disgrace the way they handled the whole ray rice thing.

I like the pies jumper and i like their fans since i only see them on tv and don't have to deal with them on a daily basis getting groceries and poo poo. If there wasn't an expansion team with a guy you can argue is the greatest player of all time, I'd probably have picked them. As of now, they're my second team.

The pies, historically, weren't the nicest club. Of course, all footy clubs, being Australian, had elements of racism, Collingwood won the prize for the worst of the lot. This banner is in reference to Michael Long (Essendon player) complaining about having racial abuse hurled at him by Collingwood players (Monkhurst?). This is literally the official club response, circa 1991~. The other reason people hated them was because they won all the flags back in the day, but most people who were around to remember Collingwoods dominance are dead now so that's kinda moot.

THE AFL will trial a 15-second shot clock at the remaining NAB Challenge matches at Etihad Stadium, with a player's set-shot time counting down on the venue's scoreboard. In a move that could put tardy forwards on notice, a countdown clock will appear when the controlling umpire gives the player his 15-second warning. Cud b gud

Yeah I know bogans are pretty racist. That one woman getting escorted out for screaming a racial slur at Tier or something like that wasn't that long ago. But their supporters still make me laugh because they're really passionate and they look ridiculous and they don't care.

Supporting Collingwood is something where you're either all in, or not at all. Collingwood fans aren't as bad as their reputation suggests (not with Richmond having a "resurgence" and Port Adelaide continuing to exist), but they are still shocking. There's a reason every single team in the AFL has a "rivalry" with Collingwood. Meh I managed to deal with Kennett. Didn't like him much of course (and he seemed to take a fair amount of credit for the things Ian Dicker did) but anyway. If the merger had gone ahead back in '96 I'm not entirely sure what I would've done but I would almost certainly not have followed the Dawks.

In some ways it has made me want to support the team even more. Not in a #standbyhird kind of way, but, yeah I really don't mind if anyone involved in the footy department at the time gets launched into the sun and they have made being an Essendon supporter really loving tough at times. But, I still support the players 100% and it's why I can't begrudge Paddy going "nope, gently caress this, I'm out", (as much as it's REALLY going to suck watching him tear us a new one in games). I still believe any ban for the players is unfair and they've been through such a loving poo poo time with this, so I really want to see them come out the other side ok. So, when this is all finally put to bed, if I can watch the team having some on field success it'll make me pretty drat happy for them.

Don't worry too much about supercoach/dreamteam until after this weekend. Wait and watch all the practice matches before bothering to spend hours nitpicking your team, you will have a far better idea of which 100k players are getting a run
