I'm watching the pilot of TNG on Amazon. Do they use the blu-ray versions? It looks way nicer than I remember. Too bad the writing is still poo poo. (I also hate Brent Spiner, he is a terrible actor)

Oh and the actress that plays the daughter of some old dude who is supposed to be euthanized in one episode comes back two episodes later as ensign Ro and it's so loving blatant they didn't even give her makeup or prosthesis or anything. It wasn't even the same character, she was some no one come to convince her dad to die with dignity and then next episode she's a bajoran who spent her life in the refugee camps. She must have given Rick Berman the ride of his life to swing a bit part into a recurring gig. I assume this is true because Rick Berman is a total sleaze. Triumph said to Brent Spiner: "You're very lucky, you haven't been a victim of typecasting... or any casting" I would have loved to see Leonard Nimoy and Deforest Kelly in more roles before their deaths. These were truly talented actors whose careers were unfairly doomed by being on a nerd show. Frakes, Spiner, Dorn-- meh, not as much, but still a little.

Remember that episode where the alien stole Neelix's lungs? The doctor made Neelix holographic lungs, and instead of knocking him out, tortured Neelix. Not only was Neelix awake the entire time they were looking for his lungs, nobody fed him, and provided no way for him to go to the bathroom. For who knows how long, Neelix was forced into solitary confinement, but with the added bonus of not being able to move. They didn't even set up a TV tuned to the porn channel, he had to stare at the ceiling.
