someone asked him what the stats are when you remove all the changetip employees who are doing nothing but tipping and pumping up their own company value

no answer as of yet.

/r/buttcoin also points out that there is a difference of $90,000 from the stats on the changetip site and BashCo's post in the thread. He says this is because the changetip site is calculating the stats based on current pricing and BashCo is basing the stats on pricing when the tips were sent.

the card isnt meant to be a good deal.

but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing for people who have amassed a "fortune" in illiquid internet money. $20 million doesnt mean very much when you can only use it to buy newegg hardware.

no see with bitcoin you can withdraw up to $400 USD from any ATM and it only costs you $18.50 for the withdrawl + $4.95/month. Bitcoin has liberated you from the onerous responsibility of feeless ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases!

It's also a good deal if you've made yourself famous in the fraud analytics department of every legitimate depository institution in the land and have literally no alternative option for moving value electronically because even walking into a bank will get fraud charges drawn up against you.

Makes sense. But who is running these things? Wouldn't you need to be connected to the evil fiat banking networks to have the buttcards work with existing POS and ATM infrastructure?
And wouldn't you also need to be a registered money transmitter, etc? Sounds like there could be some legal lols in the making here. Assumming that it's not just some guy using stolen credit cards/russian mafia money to buy a bunch of prepaid visa cards and mailing them out to hapless buttcoiners

i've seen places where the atm in there is constantly broken, and some where inexplicably the isolated area atm doesn't work between certain hours

never once had a drive thru atm not work though.

iirc the (real, actual, not just bitcoiner but Serious Libertarian) justification is that you can't KNOW that by paying a hitman to kill someone, that that someone will ACTUALLY be killed. why this doesn't apply equally to, say, firing unreliable flint-lock pistols or sending poorly-wired letter bombs, nobody can say.
