Rough Lobster posted:what the gently caress is Jojo and why I am I forced to scroll past so much of it? jojo is a comic book and now anime where men and women, all very fabulous and elegant, punch the poo poo out of other men and woman, who are bad but also fabulous. after a certain point they punch so much they give birth to ghosts that punch and also have unique powers, like x-men. it's very popular because it has really distinct character designs (unlike basically all anime), draws inspirations from atypical sources for the genre like fashion and western horror, and because the creator basically controls everything it is very uniquely bugfuck nuts. there's a dude with a punch ghost that kills anyone who learns that dude's names, then rewinds time, then kills them again but this time before they learn that dude's name.  this is a picture by this person of deviljho from monster hunter, like a jojo. i think it is neat & also i appreciate the wordplay.

I mean we could get into a really dumb lovely post war dumping a bunch of frankly not really weird or interesting jojo fanart and counter with like, touhou and poo poo since there's literally millions of those out there, but I'd rather people just posted actually good, honest, weird(or good) fanart. Like, Lucky Star, drawn in the style of Ren and Stimpy.  Or the many faces of Nicholas Cage.  Or the next great reboot in the Spider-Man franchise  Or Hatsune Mechu  Or a bad TV show  Or presidential food  And of course

Rocky and bullwinkle is hot garbage that got played almost as much as Scooby-Doo, which is also hot garbage. Man it sucked being a kid at night and flipping through channels only to find R&B on one channel and Scooby-Doo on another and absolutely nothing else on

That's a fair sentiment, but maybe people shouldn't passive aggressively complain if people are posting things because they don't like the source material and instead just post content of their own? Semi-related, here's some really neat fanart of Michiko and Hatchin. Or Michiko to Hatchin. Or Michiko e Hatchin. Whatever conjunction you wanna use. Mostly Atsuko Jackson, since despite being the title characters it's hard to find good fanart of Michiko or Hatchin.
