I gotta say grrm has done a really good job writing sansa. She's gone from a character I despise to a character I'm excited to read chapter's about. Part of this is because of littlefinger, but she's also starting to become a slight player in the game, if only because she's picking up after littlefinger. Can't wait for grrm to loving slam dunk on her again though, she seems to be a "kick the dog" kind of character.

Good chapter, the preview chapters have generally been very good. How long ago was it actually written? It was pretty obvious that the ADWD chapter was written during his AFFC 'sessions' and this one doesn't read any differently. Fat gently caress hasn't written in years.

Listening to the audiobooks after having read all the books again really strikes home how loving stupid Catelyn Stark is. She makes so many huge mistakes and then top it with the enormous one of releasing Jaime, loving her son over totally and probably a major factor in causing the red wedding.

I had my first Yelling at GRRM moment yesterday. My husband was watching a documentary on Netflix about all of the Atari ET games buried in a New Mexico landfill. GRRM shows up for a moment and I shouted "FINISH THE loving BOOKS, GEORGE" at the screen. It was almost instinctively. Now, four years after having read them all, I am finally truly feeling the pain. At least the show comes around once a year.

I don't know about "causing" the Red Wedding but it removed all barriers to it for Tywin. Trading away your only major "play nice" bargaining chip against the guy who tricked the mad king into letting his army sack the poo poo out of Kings Landing was a rather bad idea.
