Ehh, I still think wild water kingdom is better than nehru jackets (both are good though), but I'm with you on not ok.

also i think their solo stuff is way better than any of their das racist stuff

i think their solo projects as a whole are better than their das racist mixtapes but i think some of the best songs they've ever made was as das racist (relax, rappin 2 u, rainbow in the dark)

anyways uh ive been listening to yelawolf's new album and i like it?? i guess. i've never heard any of his other stuff before but i think this album's pretty solid. it's some kind of country rap monstrosity but it works pretty well. there's no features at all except for a horrible eminem verse.

I might check it out, some of his stuff has been pretty good. That track with Eminem that I posted above is doing the opposite of growing on me though, I'm getting weirded out how religious-sounding the track is and how much that clashes with my perceptions of both rappers

Just finished Yelawolfs new album and god drat it was good. This is what Radioactive should have been. It's a great blend of Country, Blues, and Hip Hop/ with some Michael Jackson thrown in for good measure. It's honestly my favorite Hip Hop album of 2015 so far. Yelawolf should be way more popular than he is.

i've listened to the yelawolf album some more and i'd have to agree. i think it's fantastic. i'm in love with his rapping and the country/rock elements work really well. i don't even listen to rock really so i'm baffled as to why i like it so much. i'm really impressed. the low point is definitely the loving terrible eminem feature though

I'll have to listen more but my first impression of Yelawolf's album is that it sounds like a Buck 65 doubletime flow album. I was never that impressed with him before though tbh. Also wondered how he got an Eminem feature until I saw he's still signed to Shady records.

Thing is, Em is trash now, and that feature is hands down the WORST part of the entire album.

sounds like an eminem verse to me and even if he was lazy as gently caress on it, which he wasn't, he's technically a better rapper than most so whatever. also it was in a song about jesus or something god drat.

May 12th, mark your calendars....

Also I just bought Ludacris, Lecrae (who I totally forgot to buy from before) and Tyler's albums. Ludacris's album was a pretty worthwhile buy and he's the only rapper that I own each album they made and this felt like something that fits right into the discography; he sounds so hungry on this album and its bars after bars, even though the production is kinda blah at times. I'm excited about Tyler's album though....gonna listen to it now.

Cherry Bomb exceeded expectations. Really interesting album. Glad he gave up the overly cinematic crying about being rich thing. It's Neptunes meets Deathgrips. Best year for OF since they came out assuming Frank's album actually comes out and is the same quality as Tyler & Earls

This Yelawolf is very interesting. This poo poo is gonna get so much play at the redneck bars where I live. And this country western song would be perfect for karaoke night.

Yeah, I mean I just pretend that Eminem ODed after Encore (not that Encore was good, but still) or something because the idea of listening to an Eminem verse in the Obama era fills me with the biggest douchechills. Dabbling in Recovery and a minute or two of "Rap God" was enough, no thank you, if I wanted cold tryhard technical skill with no charisma or interesting topics I'd find some underground rapper.
