Well I'm never getting 100% of the hats anyway so no.

I quit playing the Mii Force game once I beat it once for instance, forget trying to get all the tickets from the other objectives.

I did too, if nothing else just because it told me I could disable parts of the plaza welcoming process to speed things along. Kinda messed up to have to pay for that feature, but that alone was worth it.

You get a bunch of plaza tickets for filling up the birthday calendar, you can save Miis past the 200 or whatever character limit the actual plaza has by marking them VIPs (in case it's a one-off pass or something) and you can disable each part of the welcome messages from each character to your liking (total passes, recently playing, personal greetings, ratings, game recommendations, etc.)

You're supposed to also be able to set what music plays in the plaza? I can't figure out how to activate that though.

The best new feature of these things is the Game Vault that comes with purchasing the two new games. You can stick games in there now and it won't tell you you need to have people play them. I shoved Mii Force in there so I never have to think about it again. :toot:

Just two more countries in Warriors Way and I can stick that in there too.

I wish Premium Plaza would let you hold more streepasses at the gate. The games are all designed around the 10-Mii limit though, so I suppose it'd be hard to figure that out.

For what it's worth, Jonathan Metts and Neal Ronaghan of http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/ (which is a pretty good site if you like Nintendo games) have been singing its praises on their podcast, and they have a review. From what I hear, it's actually a really good throwback to Zelda 2, Kid Icarus and the like, but with that throwback also come accurate NES difficulty, i.e. you will have no idea where to go and once you get there you will die a lot.

Find Mii has a new update that shows you how many hats you still have to get in each room, as well as a new helper rabbit who blocks ambushes in exchange for play coins or something?

But if you've already got all the hats (in which case wow) then yeah you can stick that thing in the vault there's nothing new to get from it.

I have all the hats for Find Mii... but I am playing Find Me over again a bunch of times to get the accomplishments like "Beat Find Mii five times" and "Beat Find Mii with less than 35 dudes" or whatever.

drat, I have over 1400 coins and a plat/gold gift to pick out. Assuming Nintendo's offerings are pretty much the last they're going to do, did anyone ever put together a definitive list of what's good and what's crap? As it stands I'm tempted to go Mario Golf for my plat since Pushmo World's been pretty cheap in the past, then the Majora's Mask dork bag and, I dunno, Earthbound and some random selection of other games.

That sounds like a plan. I went with Mysterious Murasame Castle, 3D Classics TwinBee, Punch-Out!! (3DS VC) and Grill-Off with Ultra Hand!

Most of it is good, it's just that a lot of people who have Club Nintendo coins to burn have a lot of those games already. Freakyforms had a fuller retail release that's easy to get cheap, the NES sports games are pretty outdated, and Dr. Luigi is pretty barebones when Dr. Mario 64 exists. People argue Golden Sun hasn't aged well. Urban Champion is Urban Champion. Other than that it's hard to go wrong.

It's good, but it's not much like Fire Emblem. Your units move on an isometric grid, kind of like in Final Fantasy Tactics, but actual combat is your usual JRPG turn-based affair. I think it works, and the story is pretty good... though I haven't finished the game myself. I got stuck... I really liked what I played of it though! I've only played one other SMT game myself (IV... didn't finish it either. Again, got stuck). If you have a SRPG itch, I think it's worth checking out! Hopefully you'll be less terrible at it than I am.

I didn't like it. Too many escort missions with suicidal NPCs.

Kept meaning to check out the sequel though. The underlying systems are solid, it's just the mission design that's flawed.

All I remember is saving at the final boss only to find out I couldn't leave the final boss room and thus couldn't complete the optional poo poo that I'd missed out on, as well as something about an extremely long code to input into the sequel if you wanted to transfer absolutely everything over. What was wrong with the game other than those two things?

Edit: Actually, thinking about it, I don't remember anything about Golden Sun other than knowing I missed optional content, remembering the rocks falling bit at the start, and the final boss...gee I don't remember anything about that game

One Nation, Under God.
All the Golden Sun games are full of terrible dialogue and characters that babble endlessly about inane crap that they've already said, and the text scroll speed is excruciatingly slow and littered with character emotes that are even slower. They'd be fine if they'd just shut the gently caress up and let you play.

Also a bad habit of cliffhanger endings. 10 years later Nintendo finally lets them make a new game, giving them the opportunity to wrap everything up and they screw it up by trying to start a new story that ends on a cliffhanger. Like, wtf were they thinking.
