Without grinding heists or investing in Shark Cards, what is the fastest way to grind out money? I finally got my 50 races, but those upgrades are ridiculously expensive.

I rarely ever use shotguns in missions but use them alot in survival. The assault shotgun is a wrecking machine but I would never use it in a mission due to close quarters combat being a death sentence, but in survival the enemies are dumb as a brick and its easy enough to mow them down with it. I do agree it is an ammo sink though. Useless you are good at shooting or sniping the pilot and gunner out of enemy helicopters it will eat up your rockets quickly. I take back what I said about Survival, it's not a profitable option despite the 30K payout. It's fun though! Doing drive-by after drive-by in the Kuruma gets old after a while.

Anyway, that's why you go the make yourself a utility race route so you can easily get race wins without having to find someone who'll agree to trade an additional 50 wins.

Utility race route?

You can troll utility races if you find and save a Sadler. The other racers will be stuck with Caddies and Faggios. Later on you can mod a Faggio if you want to be more covert about earning wins by trolling. Nobody is really going to mod a Faggio and they aren't really going to question why you're faster than others. Make it a GTA race to further distract them. wafflemoose fucked around with this message at 20:15 on May 14, 2015 |

Phone posted:Utility race route? When you make a race that allows the utility class, the only vehicles it offers to people who don't already own one are like the Faggio, the golf cart, the lawnmower, and other slow and slowly accelerating vehicles. But the Vapid Sadler, which is basically just an F150, can be modded up quite nicely and the game considers it "utility" class and when running a Utility race with customs on you can use it. So you make a race, set it to default to Utility class and with customs on. Steal or buy a Sadler and then give it a few mods just to be safe. Then you go and play that race repeatedly, and since barely anyone else owns one they'll be stuck with poo poo vehicles and you get an easy win every time. The Sadler tops at like 100 mph while most of the other ones in the class can't get over 60 mph, some not over like 40 mph. In order to lose you'd have to like intentionally keep slamming into walls and poo poo. Anyway for the race I made, I made sure to have a whole bunch of checkpoints and rockets on the lap, so that when multiple people are playing they'll be distracted by being able to fight each other.

Making your own race allows you to not have to worry about GTA matchmaking loving up and separating you from your win swap buddy, and you get extra rp for people upvoting your races. And if you haven't designed a race before it's a good place to start.

Some people do, but unless it's supercars most people leave - but then again those type of people are usually the ones you want to leave.

You don't need any particular person to stick with it! You can just keep inviting different people. Also if you start a race with at least 2 people (as in, at the starting line) and then everyone but you quits, it still counts as a proper race win towards unlocking parts, and the only people who get punished are them.

Yeah I just mean like, the overhead of having to actually gather 1+ players for each race seems a lot rougher than win trading with a buddy.

Kly posted:is there a way to permanently get rid of a weapon? as far as I know, just drop it in free roam try switching to a new session after like 5 minutes to clarify, you just keep the weapon wheel selected with the weapon you want to drop highlighted and press Triangle/Y or whatever the KB equivalent is while the weapon wheel is up. Avoid walking forwards at all after you drop it, because you will just pick it back up. I've done this with several pistols and rifles and it seems to get rid of them as long as you're in free roam and not on a mission.
