A friend of mine designs the exhaust systems for the Lotus F1 cars. Pretty crazy what goes into the design alone, but he tells me that each manifold costs about £10,000 and the team carry 4 or 5 spare sets. They're made from Inconel, mandrel bent and supplied by GoodFabs and welded up in-house at Lotus. F1 team technical budgets are insane.
