Too cute, thanks Kakaricho. I imagined it was a nursery rhyme or something similar.

cubeboy posted:Whats the translation for the chorus of this? It’s a song from an NHK-ETV (NHK Educational TV) show aimed at 0-2 year olds called “Inai Inai Baa! (Peekaboo)”. Here’s my crack at the lyrics, I did my best to make them fit the rhythm, but I’m at work and can’t listen to the song, and I have zero musical skill/sense. U-Tan, WanWan and Kotomi are three characters from the show. Rice balls, let’s make some, let’s make some! Rice balls, let’s make some, rice balls pon! Rice balls pon! Where should we eat today? Rice balls, let’s make some! How about the park? The beach is nice! The mountains are nice too! Yay! It’s fun no matter where we eat! Everyone, take your rice balls, And let’s go eat these delicious rice balls (let’s make some, rice balls!) Rice balls, let’s make some, let’s make some! Rice balls, let’s make some, rice balls pon! It pairs nicely with a vintage "Ocha Cha Cha Cha". BTW, we broke down and bought our son a reconditioned Wii U for the end of school this Friday (my folks went in on it, too). He will lose his poo poo.

When I used to teach at nursery schools I would record and watch it to practice some of the songs and dances. quote:BTW, we broke down and bought our son a reconditioned Wii U for the end of school this Friday (my folks went in on it, too). FredMSloniker posted:I'd heard that it was kind of lame compared to the original version. What are your (plural) thoughts? The 3DS version is very good if you haven't played both of the WiiU versions. The 3DS version recycles some, but not all, of the first two's games. It also doesn't include the originals "bonus" content, but instead offers up "Speed Mario", which is really disappointing considering all of the other games that could have been part of a bonus content.

I wouldn't be surprised if the devs had the 3DS port thrust upon them with little warning and they opted to cut all the "filler" games in order to hit whatever release window they were given. I can't see why else they'd exclude anything. It's worse here in PAL-land because the 3DS version costs twice as much and has a little over half the content. On an unrelated not, I could really go for one of those fermented squid onigiri.

Double Dragon - Arino failed the challenge, but will re-challenge the game at this year's Odaiba event

I figured Arino would fail at Double Dragon. I myself have never beaten any of the NES games as a kid. Those games were tough. Glad he gets to re-challenge it.

I think I've asked this before but now's the time to do it again: is there any good way for me to get rid of my excessive gccx merch? Bought these from the DVD box 10 event and wouldn't mind the extra cash:

I ended up with one of these from TGS 2013 because I misread the order form. I went back to the booth a while later to buy the thing I actually wanted (the water bottle) and Tanii recognized me from my previous merch buying spree, laughed at me and said something that probably translated to "crazy white girl, what are you doing back here?" so I abandoned all shame and had him help me with the order form. My husband (we were actually on our honeymoon at the time) still likes to tease me about my "friend" Tanii. And now I have the bottle AND the cell phone stand thing. And a story. And a desire to sell the stand thing because I don't see myself using it and I don't need a memento of the incident that husband will never let me forget anyway. oopsie rock fucked around with this message at 11:21 on Jun 5, 2015 |

It's funny that he calls DQV a modern game when it came out in 1992. That's got to be older than at least some of the retro games he's tackled for work.

Is it in Japanese? I tried to play Densha De Go when I was in Japan, it was literally one of my goals while I was there, but not reading Japanese hurt more than I thought and I was not able to complete the first run which made me sad but I at least got to finally play it with the whole apparatus at an arcade
