 I'm not sure if it's a big thing up where you Yankees are from but down here, in the places where the tea is sweet and the temperatures are too hot why is my AC dead, we do a mean state fair. I mean the whole digs. Fantasia Barrino will always be there. You will ride on three rides and then decide that that's all you need to do. There will be a tablescaping competition that makes no sense. Your family will try to force you to ride something called "The Blizzard" with your brother. Don't do that. But it's not just about the chills and spills with these fairs. No, it's also about the competition. People from around the state gather together to show off their enlarged gourds or their macramed pictures of Queen Amidala in the hopes of getting that rare blue ribbon. Above all of those little things, is the pageant. These are the young women who will become the Miss Rhubarb and may go on to bigger and brighter things.  In North Georgia it doesn't get bigger in my opinion than the Miss Pecan Pie competition. It may not be the shining crown jewel of the pageant road, but it is a hidden gem. So when I heard about all the insanity that happened last season from a coworker I had to do my research. What I discovered in various pageant blog entries, tumblr accounts and small-town newspapers was a bizarre story - one which I've been unable to tell until now (because nobody would listen). It all began when... ~Welcome to Panic at the Miss Pecan Pie Pageant: a game of Mafia for 12 players!~ Will the pageant go smoothly or will is all be nuts in the end?!?! This is a pretty standard game of mafia. Beginners are more than welcome and vets are invited as well. Let's have fun! Some specifics:
