BonHair posted:1) Some vidja games allow you to form relations to other characters When I played Fable I was an enormously fat guy in pink armor wearing a skirt and literally everybody wanted to marry me. Video games are just...video games. As an aside as soon as I noticed the title "Piemaster" I had to buy it and loving own it.

You could almost say it was fanfic of his own life at a stretch. Truely we are in the midst of the modern Shakespeare and Dante.

Son of Thunderbeast posted:Did the concept of fanfiction even exist in the 1300s? I don't get it. I don't know about 1300s, but it certainly happened in the 1600s; in the second volume of Don Quixote, Cervantes spends a lot of time taking potshots at the fake second volume that somebody else wrote.

The Book of Revelation makes a lot more sense if you think of it as fanfiction for the Old Testament.

Old marmaduke was a hilarious comic about a devil dog that bullied the entire neighborhood and would straight up loving murder you. They stopped drawing his evil rear end eyebrows and now it's just a dumb goofy dog that is awkwardly large. Shaking my drat head.
