He's already lost his poo poo, as far as he can tell. Might as well snort the drugs to match reality.

Serious talk though, I get the feeling that Eliot is going to end up fighting both sides at once. He's never going to accept the binary utilitarianism of F Society or the irreverent puppeteering of Evil Corp. He sees both the tyranny of choices and the unfairness of the lack thereof as the central problems with the world, and eventually he's going to have to take the compromise.

Ideal ending for the show: Elliot does some Hacking, pushes a button, and both FSociety and Evil Corp go through some version of this scene.

I'm really enjoying this series so far; why its on USA instead of NBC speaks volumes about whoever is in charge of NBC. Right now I feel like this is a really hosed up fast forward sequel of Pump up the Volume. The Hard Hairy exploiter/revolutionize-er of the radio days recruits an internet version of himself to let everybody know that the dice are loaded.

Gabriel Macht perhaps. And its a tesla roadster for memory.

This episode's highlight hacking was the mix of melting down his gear (complete with drilling out the HD platters - I own a drill exactly the same as his!) after freaking out at the ease of hacking the E Corp interim CTO, and then loving over the drug supplier because he was a rapist scumlord.

One thing I really love about this show so far is their attention to technical accuracy. Whether it be the hacking, or the date rape effects, or even just the modern day that people are trying to get their warez picked up on the street, its a pleasant departure from all the hollywood hacking and cliches that normally adorn TV shows.

No idea what the chinese webcam hack was about though? I was half expecting it to be Elliot spying on that guy from work because hes a cheating douche.

I have a feeling the webcam hack has to do with that other group Mr. Robot mentioned to Elliot. He brought them in to help take down the Chinese side of the problem.

It definitely was. The "rapper" trying to push his "new album" was really just trying to distribute a CD with malicious software on it, hence the boyfriend complaining that the CD didn't work and his laptop just kept spitting it out. Afterward the "rapper" was the one typing in Chinese "We're in" presumably to the Dark Army group. If they're tackling the Chinese side of things then they're likely a Chinese hacker group. What exactly they're targeting Angela for (connections to Evil Corp through Allsafe?) is another matter.

I just noticed the game Mr. Robot is playing in the Arcade is called "Mallard Murder," presumably to avoid copyright issues, but still uses genuine Duck Hunt sound effects and graphics. Even the font is the same.

All I could think of about this whole side plot was "how the gently caress is this guy a cyber security engineer?" (Unless maybe he's not because we've not been told his actual position at Allsafe)

Shame that they put him away so quickly. He could have been a great foil to Elliot especially if he was desperate for the more specialised drugs and the supplier was holding Elliot to ransom some how.
