yeah the one time I went to Canada I was very impressed with how nice the bills are. Also $1 and $2 coins make a lot of sense and you've gotten rid of the most useless coin.

We use quarters and dimes and stuff all the time. Anything higher than a quarter is a little more rare in normal retail but everything else is used to make change in every transaction.

And yeah, pennies are awful and should've been gotten rid of 5 years ago here.

a widely used one and two dollar coin should be standard yes. Doesn't make America a bad country, it is in fact unironically one of the best (maybe the???)

not that my off-the-cuff statement is statistical fact or whatever, but I was not thinking about Japenese or Swedish culture, I was thinking of Japanese life expectancy and Swedish socialism.

I grew up in an area where Canadian and American coins got used indiscrimately. You would go to a restaurant and pay with ten US dollars and fifty cents in Canadian coins.

Eventually businesses got really upset and started putting signs up saying they would no longer accept Canadian coins. It was a very sad moment for me personally because I had to stop using coins with cool moose on them.
