Your question is flawed taste FLAWED I SAY.

I expect it to differ greatly, otherwise I would already have the answer and not need to ask.

Understanding what people perceive as quality is much more interesting than knowing what marvel movie made them jump out of their seat

I can definitely differentiate between movies that I enjoy/connect to on a personal level and movies I think are well executed and good in their art form or whatever. But it's much less interesting.

But see , here's the thing.

You are asking an opinion based question. People will always tend to see what they like as being of a higher quality than it may actually be.

Most of the time the things that people really like are good to them.

So yeah, I managed to try to argue my point without name calling.

So who is the adult?

Adults insult people all the time, usually while recognizing the difference between "like" and "good"

Pig are you seriously telling me you've never liked something and thought "I know this isn't great, but it appeals to me specifically"

Have you ever recommended somebody something and skipped over stuff you knew was something specially you'd like?

You are missing the point entirely.

My five favorite movies are also the ones I think are best.

Because apparently best means something different to me.

My list of Best movies and favorite movies would be the same because they are my favorite movies for a reason, because I like them the best.

They are the highest quality movies in my eyes.

So what you are asking for is the same thing.

No.

If I like something I will recommend it to anyone.

Quality IS appeal to me.

I haven't made a list because I couldn't possibly narrow it down to five.

Every time I think of one it makes me think of 10 I think are just as good.
