Yay, Internet!

Also, look at what has just popped up.

Reminder: Once someone buys the Topple (or it's discarded), the tie break is money. As this will end the game intermediately, you will NOT go through Depression due to 2 Bear cards played or discarded in a row.

Take the First Instance Court, play it, spend an action crying because I lack the gold to win. Speculate on Hacienda Humboldt.

I will of course have to discard the Court if there's a revolutionary Topple.

:woop:

- Play Aguirre Yaqui Uprising on San Germain Tannery, liberating the slaves and changing the regime to Anarchy. Publish the Carranza Plan of Guadalupe (that is, flip Hacendado to Revolution) to retain Aguirre Yaqui Uprising (I think I can do that, right?)
- Buy Topple

That should put me on 4 Revolution points, unless I'm mistaken, with no opposition.

(I could still be mistaken :ohdear:)

I guess so. I could flip, but nobody else has any Revolution anyway, so that wouldn't change anything.

Dammit, I was running the turn.

Actually, you end up with 5. 1 from Carranza, 1 from the liberated plantation, 1 from the mine, 1 from the Aguirre Yaqi Uprising and 1 from the Confederación Obrera Panamericana. Your Tripartite is 2 from Diaz, +1 from nimby discarding his First Instance Court and 0 from both Tekopo and nimby, so you're way above what you need.

So yeah, :siren:bobvonunheil wins the game:siren: With his Hacendado in jail, no less!

Thanks for playing, guys, it has been fun to run. Sorry for the myriad of mistakes and the couple of hiccups with my schedule. If you have any sugggestinsabout hot to improve, what did you think were missing, etc... now is the time.

Thanks for the game, it was a lot of fun. Even if nimby had run the topple with no one winning, bobvonunheil would have won on money. I made a mistake getting the Apache scouts but if I hadn't and Tevery had won on outrage I would have kicked myself anyway, so I didn't feel like I had a choice.

Aguirre Yaqui doesn't give me any revolution points though. I was really wanting to use it again to get nimby's other slave labour camp but that's a mine, not a plantation.

Either way, thanks for the game guys, and thanks Fat Samurai for running it!

It was great and a lot of fun. Pity it kinda came down to "whose turn it is when Topple pops up" at the end. I also feel like there were very few Orange and Black cards.

Furthermore, I couldn't manage an economy worth a drat, but the idea behind "anyone does anything, get paid" is, I feel, sound.

Actually these are two of the problems I have with the game. Not only is it pretty easy to end up in a kingmaking position, but card selection can seriously bog down a game. It reminds me of that quote that pops up occasionally in the Boardgames thread about Vlaada Chvátil and whoever designed Robinson Crusoe. The last turns, as TB says, were mostly enterprises, and that slowed down the game. I was pretty sure we were going for a tie break.

I was in fear of someone piking up the last headline, triggering and Depression and then everyone passing because they couldn't do a thing.

I was in fear of someone picking up Mexican Land Reform, then nimby trashing his plantation before I could turn it into sweet, sweet revolution points.

I'd like to see how else the game can go with a different selection of cards. I'd certainly play it a lot differently the next time around.

drat, I forgot to account for Henry Ford's free deployment :( should've sold the tannery I guess. But still wouldn't have won due to lack of money then.

The game needs a spreadsheet with updated abilities to keep track off.
