Does Aussie hiphop ever get any play in here? As an Australian it's on the radio a fair bit here. Most of it I don't like but I've always had a soft spot for the Hilltop Hoods. Drake is fake and gay it shouldn't matter if he has ghost writers like every other pop star. That's my 2 Lincoln's. I do enjoy a good rap beef though.

Wait did you guys not hear the 10 bands reference track where the guy literally raps the same words that Drake does on his mixtape/album version? It's not kind of ghost writing lol Also Drake still makes some awesome music and lol if you can't admit that. And also lol if you don't think Drake has written for Wayne. Not a good look but you can cherry pick bad lines from literally every rapper ever and when you read them in your own gay voice they are going to sound awful. http://allhiphop.com/2015/07/22/funk-flex-releases-reference-track-of-quentin-miller-rapping-drakes-10-bands-audio/

Seems more like Drake took it, tuned it to himself and turned it into a full song. I mean there's definitely the hook and most of the first verse in there, no doubt, but it's really unfinished. If that is ghostwriting (with that guy also being credited as co-writer of the track on the album) then Meek Mill needs to get himself a ghostwriter too and maybe he'll be worth listening to. I expected full tracks just being completely written by another dude being rapped by Drake.

Drake is too boring to talk about in any detail. BigGhostface and the reactionaries made Drake a lot more fun than he is. Meek is too boring to talk about in any detail. Omeeka is the best thing for both of their careers. He doesn't come off as a bad guy but he was a product of the MMG wave and we good on that.

Yeah I mean there's ghost writing and then there's "I have a buddy who I bounce ideas off of and helps me clean things up and occasionally contributes lines so I give him co-writer credit" I kinda assume most rappers do the second thing, even if they don't always credit people for it.

It's not kind of ghost writing lol Drake is just suuuuch an easy target and is super fake hard....he sings and raps at the same time and does make great music, I don't know why he tries to play the tough role instead of just embracing it. The fact that so many people try to beef with him is a testament to his hugely successful career more than anything, but I have no idea why Meek is trying to curve Drake here...I mean anything to keep you relevant???

Meh. He's obviously not from a tough background but he really only talks like he's a goon on a few songs. And those Toronto dudes Drake hangs with are involved in some sketchy poo poo, like human trafficking poo poo. And he was/is with Birdman and co who are absolutely responsible for a lot of bodies in New Orleans. And he's got J Prince backing/being extorted by. The same Rap A Lot J Prince who Master P had to get clearance from when he wanted to kill Pimp C while he was already kidnapped with a gun to him. One of the most feared people in the music industry and those guys are eating WAAAAY too much off Drake that you'd have to have a death wish to gently caress up that cashflow, look at all the credits they have on his albums lol. Not saying he's hard by ANY means or would have anyone hurt but it's not like he couldn't if he wanted to. Drake takes himself too seriously on a few songs but is clearly not that person outside of the music. Welp just wrote a whole bunch of words defending Drake cya

I don't dislike Drake, he just doesn't make a genre of music I often listen to or ever interact with unless it's on at a random party or something Like Taylor Swift, or Jack Johnson It's not consciously on purpose, it'll just never happen probably

Here have some actual good music from one of the best albums of the 2000s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-vTIhARm2I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hnRDF5l8I4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2DQovLc26c This song is so loving classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_4CHqDa4E4 And just because it's the best rap song of all time. Pharaoh Monch is a destroyer of worlds, he left our planet some time long ago and is existing at a different plane of enlightenment until forever I guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYrmop7g2cU Here make you summer better, 213 didn't get enough play in their day. Nate, Snoop and WC in the same group was nasty. Nate's best hooks are on 213s albums FYI and WC has a real nice west coast flow. I guess it was just time for G Unit and the rise of the south around then though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BzizXe_WWc maniacripper fucked around with this message at 02:58 on Jul 24, 2015 |
