Probably not spandex, but it was the first word that came to mind.

They have a bunch of flavoured and tinted kinds of Vaseline lip balms in my local supermarket now. I didn't even see any plain Vaseline last time I was in there, so the local runners must be going around with shiny tinted aloe vera flavoured nipples.

Whatever happened to Nige?

After winning the 92 world championship and the indi cart championship in 93 (thus becoming the first person to hold both titles at the same time) our Nige made an F1 comeback with McLaren but dramatically left the sport in fury when he couldn't fit his fat rear end into the car.
Since then he made sporadic F1 appearances in the late 90's, mainly for Williams, and tried his hand at the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship), as well as Formula A1.
He now tends to reside as a steward, mainly for British F1 races where the Brits -quite rightly- tend to be acquitted, but Germans are heavily penalised, and quite right too.

Sounds abit over the top. I just use my fitbit, set a course start the timer and when I finish stop the timer.

But I guess people like different ways of doing it, busy most days so trying to fit it in with other peoples time is just too much effort, but having the saturday off I guess it could be fun

I too find it hard to organise a race with a couple of hundred people weekly. That is why I signed up to parkrun.

I tend to enjoy doing it in smaller groups or solo

seems poncy doing it in big groups, especially with the types of people who do those organised runs
