That was great, but I'd still love to see Ron Pearlman just cut loose with the rest of the cast someday.

Aww, a clown episode but no Joker.

It might has well have had him. I mean, it works as a trolling of classic Teen Titans fans but also as a trolling of any comic readers. I mean, the metaphor of a clown (Joker) becoming darker and ruining children's entertainment is not exactly subtle.

I think the incredibly forced awkward flirty banter they attempt in front of Terra and Aqualad on their double date might be one of my favorite moments in the series.

I also love the joke that Beast Boy just played that song to ad naseum until Terra couldn't stand it anymore.

I don't know why it was hard to track down the The High Five song, but I am glad they still keep putting these in episodes. Some of Their Parts was a great Crazy Robin episode mixed with a Beast Boy is pretty much the same no matter how you slice him one.

Also I don't think the clown one was too repetitive in making fun of Teen Titans super fans as it felt more catch-all to all cartoons or kids entertainment being ruined by super fans of any stripe, even clown elitists.

Yeah, the clown stuff really works by itself because it also gets all the vile stuff some fans end up making, like webcomics or flash animations that pour in death and rape into the old stuff they saw as kids just to make it edgy and "cool".

On one hand, that sounds great, on the other, I wish Michael Ironside would do the voice just so he'd be forced to do loony poo poo. Kinda the same way I wish Ron Perlman actually would've turned up as Slade in that "Return of Slade" episode for some gags

I love Weird Al a ton, but that's a really weird casting choice, he'd make for a great Joker or Riddler though(or maybe even Cluemaster or Toyman if one wants to go a little more obscure)

Why would you pay for TTG episodes, especially new ones, they rerun like 5 times a day.

Also they're free on the CN website:

Who is Teen titans go target audience? Paying homage to a twenty year old show isn't something alot of kids would get, even with reruns. Though that episode was hilarious. The Titans switch from being obsessed with their arms to being obsessed with their legs, in both cases they are so drat pumped about it. And rather than strike a balance between their arms and legs, they just give up on their legs all together after one last strut.

I barely watched the original TT at all even though I was a teenager when it first aired and think Teen Titans Go is hilarious. I think it stands well enough on its own as a show about a dysfunctional group of young adult superheroes.

These would all be beautiful avatars. BatGod bless this stupid show.

As for GO's target audience, I don't think they really have a specific mark. They're chock full of references only certain types of people would get and even some millennial and Gen X jokes that probably go right over little kids who will never need to know what a Beta-max or VCR is, but they put them in there anyway. They just think up something dumb these unstable super teens would do and just let the situation reach whatever idiotic destination it can while letting the cranked up to 11 teen titan personalities go wherever. People have apparently proven the formula doesn't work for everyone, whether its kids that don't like it being shoved down their throat so much as Ninjago marathons or all the people that used to come into this thread and say "It's too lol random and not really funny". But that just speaks more for GO! that it goes its own way as a comic book super hero show and as a comedy.

What is the twenty year old show they were referencing? 20 years is on the low side for a show that's referenced DuckTales and Small Wonder.

Teen Titans is a show with a lot of references, but it's not a show about references. It has plenty of qualities that appeals to loads of people which is why it's not been cancelled.

I just had a pretty long weekend and visited my nieces and nephews all of them ranging in different ages Girls: 3,4,7,14 Boys:6,8,9. None of them would shut up about how much they love this show. The 14 year old had to tell me that she liked the original show better...this somehow led to a conversation about growing up and accepting change, probably one of the most rewarding conversations I've had with a teenager, so thanks for that show.

The Sailor moon homage. Its 20+ years old, even counting reruns it is an old show. I know there is a reboot of the show, but i dont know if there is an english version nor if its popular in north america.

I mean referance wise it's like godzilla. It's a movie from 50 years ago but it's just part of the culture and there is a billion things that do it since, including remakes of the original thing and just including footage of the original thing. People born less than 50 years ago know what it is fine.
