It's BatteryBar, it's a little ugly but does significantly better than the Windows piece of poo poo one that's constantly oscillating for me. Also tracks total capacity/wear which is nice. Thanks for the link for the taskbar tweaker, it's really nice.

e: it's a little better if you use the VistaBar skin (allows a decent contrast between unplugged/plugged unlike much of the others) and ofc Segue UI for the font

This, but sincerely (unless you are being sincere). Part of the value of Windows to me is being able to make it work and look how I want. My customizations aren't as drastic as his, but that doesn't make them any more or less valid. I'm glad that Windows can, for the time being, still be configured however you'd like.

Way to miss the point. I'm saying that if you're going to have a conviction about user privacy maybe have some integrity about it and focus on it in general instead of a single company.

Motherfucking Windows and its sleep issues. Up until the last couple of days or so, my desktop would hibernate just fine when I hit the power button. Go to Event Viewer -> Windows -> System and look for Power-troubleshooter entries. You can create a custom view if your event log is too spammy. An older version of Teamviewer was causing problems like that so if you're using that, make sure its updated. Otherwise have fun hunting down "Allow this device to wake the computer" tabs in all 40 USB and network card drivers :(

And for the most part I just wanted rid of the awful bright white that everything is, so aero lite theme (which is signed by MS, just disabled by default) and glass8 it is. I actually like the new start menu and am only running StartIsBack because win+start typing program name fails about 50% of the time and just ignores your keystrokes. Once that's fixed I'll go back to the new menu.

I gave a link up the page if you missed it! Another thing is you can shrink it if you shrink the font on the battery (I put it at 9pt) but since the taskbar doesn't handle a single column of icons very well it's kind of moot in making the taskbar skinnier.

Turns out that when I set up a WOL system, I forgot to check the box in my ethernet driver that said "only wake the system with a magic packet". No idea why it wasn't causing problems before the last couple days.

There's a place in the registry that you can set the dimensions of the default/virtual/whatever display that's used in that case. Only a few days ago I had the link open, but now I can't find it. Maybe you'll have better Google luck than I have...

If you are using a fancy new corsair cpu cooler that talks to the corsair link program, it will not function properly on window's 10. Windows turns on some usb power management thing that prevents adjustment of pump and fan speeds for the cooler, details in the link below to fix the problem.

http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=785550

The guy has some other issues but the real jump up is turn enhancedpowermanagment off or your pump will run at max speed and your fans will run at low speed with no adjustment possible. The system information viewer program after the link lets you update it easy enough.

I can't find that checkbox anywhere, using the latest SIV64.

As for the things in windows 8.1, I didn't install them and I get zero traffic to microsoft. I'm guessing uninstalling should do the same thing.
