Her home has an upgradeable room, which she has equipped with a kitchen, so she has the basics to make just about any common recipe. A player merchant at the market sold her a book of recipes the day before, and Marlena is pretty sure that she’s got the stuff in her inventory to make some of the moderately difficult recipes in there. She double checks her pantry and finds that, while she’s got bread, almonds, and even some pastry (an item she made the day before with flour, egg, and water) she hasn’t got any meat or vegetables. So, it’s to be the market then.

Christ almighty. Sometimes I feel like this thread is too negative and it's all just confirmation bias and there's no way the game is heading for as big a disaster as we think. Then I remember they still haven't released their manshoot mode and here they are offering an entirely new game mode for space farming, attached to a $900 do-anything slab of pixels that will never, ever be released as described. For the record that's: Trading, Mining, Bounty Hunting, Exploring, Science, Piracy, Farming, Medical, Crafting, Salvaging, Refueling, Data Running, Hacking, and VIP transport game modes that have all now been promised, sold, and not in any way released. I think I've reached stage 4: depression. Sarsapariller fucked around with this message at 05:09 on Sep 30, 2015 |

So my choices are: Buy a $900 starship complete with medical bays to save the lives of Star Citizens throughout the galaxy OR Provide 2 families clean drinking water for the next 30 years, possibly saving their lives. However, these people are not Citizens of the Stars https://giftcatalog.feedthechildren.org/categories/water-prification-tablets-2-families-1-year.html OR I can buy 9 goats and 18 chickens for a small village. Again, saving the lives of non-Citizens https://giftcatalog.feedthechildren.org/categories/livestock/1-goat-2-chickens.html Please help, what do I do?

Hello, I am new to Star Citizen, but it looks like just the kind of modern update to games like Freelancer I would love to play. NINE HUNDRED loving DOLLARS FOR AN IN-GAME SHIP? Okay so explain it to me, is this poo poo a shortcut or are they actually restricted so you have to pay 90 real SA forum accounts to get the thing? I mean, putting aside that it doesn't exist and apparently never will. Actually if there's an effortpost in the old thread about how the whole thing was supposed to operate, that'd be neat, because it kind of looks to me like even if they were delivering everything as promised it would still be completely goddamn insane.

Adventure Pigeon posted:All I ever wanted was MMO privateer and if they added more stuff to that foundation later on after the initial game was out hey, that'd be cool. It's all just gotten kinda weird and crazy now and yeah, a little bit sad. All I wanted was a Privateerish game where my group could sit at different stations of the ship. That's it. I wanted to play a space engineer or gunner. Holy gently caress this is not looking good, but by God, I will keep my Aurora LX and run this poo poo into the ground. Mister Adequate posted:Hello, I am new to Star Citizen, but it looks like just the kind of modern update to games like Freelancer I would love to play. It was OK when they raised extra money as donations in the first several months after Kickstarter for big ships. The ships were a bonus item to thank you for a donation. Now.. now the ships are the product. They're selling several hundred dollar ships with more and more and more capabilities that will not be put into the game for years IF IT COMES OUT. You'd be a fool to buy a ship even if you thought the game was releasing that's being sold now, because the game would have to remain operational for years to ever see it. It's skill based, supposedly, but their funding stream also depends almost entirely upon whales that will inevitably be extremely bad at the game and will cry at cig whenever they lose something fancy So you can pretty much count out this game playing like eve with regard to any kind of high stakes
