That WAS Jill, the one who was studying to be the midwife.

It sounds like a lazy man's Shepherd's Pie, so it should work with whatever meat you have.

"The children love it, and it's good for you," explains Michelle on Nina Frye's Living the Dream Mom radio show. "The beans and the chilli have the protein...the iron and fiber. Everybody likes it, and it's so fast."

"When you're in a hurry and you don't have anything planned, or if you've got a large number of people coming over, it's very inexpensive. We open up a giant can of the chili beans, throw in some ground beef that's already been cooked and seasoned...It's ready in fifteen minutes."

That's another Duggar tip for quick meals on the go. Prepare ground beef ahead of time, and store it in the freezer for easy access.

That basic little black dress.

A few years ago, when I moved to a new area and had to start seeing a new set of doctors, I was encouraged to make arrangements with a CNM in my area. When I asked what the difference between her and an OB-GYN was, I was told "the only thing the CNM can't do is perform surgery." That means she has a really, really high level of training and credentialing. I've since been under the care of three "real" midwives, and they have all been fantastic. Crazy enough, its a great option if you're NOT going to have children - the provide the same level of care and expertise, and surgery (think Cesarean section) is a non-issue.
