He wants 10 pounds as a pledge which includes the game.

Sad Citizen is a tragedy in waiting at this point. I still remember asking for space exploration games in some other thread in 2013 and getting Star Citizen as one of the answers. Star Citizen even looked good. Then in 2014 Elite came out and Star Citizen looked like not much had happened, so I played that instead. Then in 2015, I came back to Star Citizen to see what they had done with exploration. Confusingly, their website had nothing concrete to say about exploration. Just a lot of nice pictures of exploration ships. Again I asked SA, hoping for some fans of Star Citizen to explain this to me. This way I learned Star Citizen hadn't moved an inch closer to completion in those two years and was now a huge mess.

Then this thread happened and my last shred of hope for Star Citizen died.

This was my Star Citizen experience. Money lost: 0$ since I'm not in the habit of buying JPGs and instead had a lot of fun with Elite instead. Also something closely resembling fun with EVE, but that may be just my addiction speeking.

Great! Many may recommend however, that if you want a more "Star Citizen" type experience however (including huge funding, "R&D" and more), the Skarp LASER Shaver may be for you - for the 21st century man!

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-skarp-laser-razor-21st-century-shaving

It has already been suspended off kickstarter, and they are being investigated by indiegogo.

They already have millions - to the amazement of scores of engineers and other so called experts who are convinced it is a scam. Next to Starcitizen, it will likely be the best place for excitement. If you back now, you further have an opportunity to be part of a lawsuit later.

How far off am I?
Imagine Duke Nukem Forever but when it was still never to be released but add people spending actual money on concept art for Duke's future weapons and insurance so that they don't lose them forever when they die in this yet-to-be-released game. Then idiots spending thousands of dollars like this every month would call people who say that this maybe isn't such a good idea 'poors' while simultaneously not having money for food because of how much they spent on yet-to-be-modeled weapons for a non-existing game.

Very slowly. I looked at that demo video of theirs, and the technology those guys are using is less laser-based and more "incredibly hard to see thin metal thread"-based. It's an original solution, I'll give them that. It shaves pubes at a speed of about 1hair every ten seconds, so you may die of old age before you finish, though.

It would be funnier if that thing actually was using laser-technology, because I always wanted to see how many people would be stupid enough to shoot their dicks off/blind themselves by random reflections after using a goddamn laser inside a shower.
