I do the spray bottle with Timothy and Zipper. They don't like a straight jet to their face, so they get the point of it. They don't even like seeing the bottle near them. Also, Timothy HATES the rain. We've taken to calling it "Timothy's Bane."

Another thing that's worked well for me is a metal jar full of coins. I've got an old boy scout popcorn tin that I use for pocket change. I shake that thing and dogs loving scatter. They know what it is after they hear it a few times and you can even just put it places you don't want the dog to go and they'll stay away.

Good dogge waiting for pets: Dogge got told there were treats, immediately started vibrating at a high frequency: (Both pets and treats were delivered.) Nurge fucked around with this message at 15:36 on Oct 22, 2015 |

He thought it was a great game.

Really wanted to VOTE ALL THE DOGGES and especially Omar, but boxer supremacy won out. So I voted Breyer.

Idgie or Kush, no contest. Our local shelter took over some dogs from another shelter 400 km away. I visit often and take dogs for a walk there, since my apartment and working situation does rule out adoption at this point (one day...). Hoping to meet tomorrow: a 9 month old Shar-Pei/Thai-Ridgeback mix, Mai-Tai. Weird name for a male dog, but whatevs. Looks like a real bro-dog. Probably even lifts. a 5 year old Pinscher mix, Tom Tempted to quit my job and take him with me. Who needs money, right? We'll just travel the world together.

Trip report Went to the shelter, lots of new faces. One in particular stole my heart immediately. I was this close to just say to hell with it, I'm taking you with me, consequences be damned. Spend almost 45 minutes at his kennel before he was taken in to meet an interested young couple. Meet Elliot, a 5 month old mix of... something. I have no idea. Beagle, Lab, and some dutch shepherd for the color of his fur maybe? BOOP Here's a little video footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gd1YOTdW_2s Sorry for the vertical camera syndrome at the start. I was quite understandibly distracted. I feel like there should be a crowdfunding platform for people who would have to give up their jobs to adopt and care for a dog.
