What's comical is, the Prison Architect guys have been working on that game for a few years and just recently got it launched fully after a successful crowdfunding campaign.

G0RF posted:The battle over "Sandi's Marketing Education & Credentials" being waged between Sandi and Derek has been the source of a lot of ongoing discussion here. Derek certainly seems to be getting the better of her, prompting constant changes to online resumes, deletion of LinkedIn profiles, removal of facts from websites, tweets and interviews that always seem to have a tidy anecdote about Sandi's recent discovery of proof of her education / career experience, etc... So this is just another chapter in that longstanding war of words-- one that, as usual, prompts more questions than answers. It's worse than that. She tweeted a Dean letter she purported (we think it's fake) to have received in undergrad. Think about this. Don't you think she would have, you know, posted an image of her marketing degree if she wanted to prove me wrong and silence me? We do not believe that she actually has one. Period. End of story.

So. Just to make sure because I'm confused. Doxxing actually refers to giving out a persons address, phone number, place of work type stuff and not just calling people out on being pedophiles or whatever right?

D_Smart posted:It's worse than that. Hey Derek, when you sue CIG next month to release their financials, can you also ask for proof of Sandi's marketing degree? It might sound insignificant, but couldn't lying about her credentials go towards proving impropriety at a very high level within the company, as well as nepotism and fraud in paying someone clearly unqualified to hold such a position? Also I hear she's a big meanie who doesn't like black people and/or pubes, so it would also be good karma to embarrass her a bit. Thanks!

We're in 2015 and these people are only now discovering that games journalism is useless for anything other than getting a general idea of what the game is about? I'll stand by it that Giant Bomb is the most ethical group of journalists. The loving stories Jeff has told about bullshit like the BMX XXX guys flying journalist to a strip club for a promotion event and the crew's reaction was like, Ew, no thats loving disgusting and sleazy and we are not going to waste time and money to go to a loving strip club for a promotion event. Or the video of Jeff and Ryan opening the package of ground meat with bullet casings, hair, a flash drive, and fake body parts inside. It was a marketing package from bulletstorm. Once again they declared it as sick and a waste of money. Just really strange stories that make it clear that marketers in the games industry have NO idea what they are doing and love to waste budget. I may sound like a shill, however they are the only group that I have seen as trustworthy.
