I was this close to just say to hell with it, I'm taking you with me, consequences be damned. Spend almost 45 minutes at his kennel before he was taken in to meet an interested young couple.

Meet Elliot, a 5 month old mix of... something. I have no idea.
Beagle, Lab, and some dutch shepherd for the color of his fur maybe?

Looks like a Beagle/Lab/GSD mix to me. I'd guess that one parent was a mixed Beagle/Lab and the other was straight GSD or Lab. How goofy is he? That's the true test.

Went back to the shelter today to put in a reservation for Elliot until I could try and sort things out with my employer and landlord on monday.

The young couple who was also interested will pick him up on Thursday.

While I appreciate the sentiment, it's a) a non-euthanizing shelter and b) I would have saved him as well. :colbert:

A dog's life is getting saved man. There are a million other dogs out there that need saving and every one of them has some dumb goofy unique thing about them that will tug at the heart strings.

If you can get in contact, ask the couple if it would be possible for you to come over for visits every now and then.

Anyone else's dogs throwing a massive shitfit tonight because dinner is 1 HOUR LATE?

Mine is currently lying in the middle of my bed on his side, franticly paddling so he spins in circles whilst snarling, growling, barking and frantically champing on an old sock. This has been going on with minor variations for 40 minutes. It's still 23:50 till dinner time. :shittydog:

E: ohh, and farting too. I think the shock has lead to a total breakdown of bodily functions.

Monty throws massive shitfits at 5:55pm every night. Dinner time is 6pm.
