. I'm not trying to claim I'm some god of driving or anything, just that it's really unusual for there to be poo poo on the road with absolutely no way to tell until the vehicle right in front of you reacts. There's always stuff happening further ahead that can clue you in to it, and if not it means that traffic is light enough that you can actually keep a decent following distance.
