I'm still watching VD because I'm watching it with a friend, but it's awfully close to being dropped on my part even so (he loves it). The "punishment room" and the gratuitous shots therein are not my thing. The whole show leans way too heavily on the S&M stuff, and the action and non-S&M fanservice aren't really good enough to counteract that. I think I would have walked away partway through the second episode had I been watching alone. It's a shame. I wanted the yuri action show to be good, and was willing to excuse it being porn.

EDIT: Oh, and the censored version is a treasure trove of unintentional hilarity

Though I'm not watching Valk Drive, I'm not judging it from the peanut gallery either. That said, their allocation of lens flare is wildly hilarious, from the screencaps I've seen of the censored broadcast.

I would enjoy Asterisk so much more if I didn't watch the stupid post-ED Claudia bit every week. This week, especially. Interesting things are happening, I'm pumped up and ready to waste 20 minutes of my time next weekend... then I get subjected to idiocy of "Oh, I always suspected that he preferred big tits" by a bikini-clad PSP VN character and all the wind goes out of my sails. The show has no lack of faults, but this one particularly bothers me.

I looked ahead at winter season show descriptions to try and find something else to interest me, and I saw another "blah blah guy walks in on super good at fighting girl, something, now he goes to the school where only girls go and fighting happens" show. And I wished it were airing this season to further saturate the 35th Asterisk Cavalry dynamic going on.
