So I happen to be in Austin this week. Anyone know if CIG still has offices where I can go, meet the game developers, and key "paaarp" into the side of their cars? Or is that taking this too far?

Also congrats bootcha, if you're having a $200,000 party to celebrate, I'll bring the weed.

Hello Citizens!

Check out INN’s plans for tomorrow’s Anniversary Stream below!

As you may know, tomorrow at 11am PST, CIG are hosting a three-hour Anniversary stream, live on Twitch.

One hour before their livestream is scheduled to start, INN will start a ‘Hype Stream’, at twitch.tv/innlive

Join Erris, Dolvak, Shiver Bathory and CanadianSyrup as we talk about what we expect and answer questions.

Once the official CIG stream starts, innlive will host their stream, so you can hang out and chat with us.

For those of you that cannot join us, or watch the stream live, we will be conducting a liveblog on INN, replete with transcripts, thoughts, images, and anything else we can fit in.

After the CIG show and liveblog are complete, we will stream again, another hour of post-hype stream, where we likely all cry about the ships we now have to buy.

If you have any questions, let us know

You can join us for our stream here or directly watch the CIG broadcast here.

I'm actually on the phone with my bank about that right now. After much feet dragging, Kraiklyn graced me with the info that Stripe had issued the refund on the 14th of October, and this was about two weeks after I started the process. I e-mailed Stripe to find out what's the hold up, they confirmed that the refund went through on the 14th, yet after talking to my bank about it they're saying they haven't seen any sort of activity around that date, or with the reference number Stripe gave me.

e: welp, can't pull up records past two years ago on the phone and I got suckered in way back in July of '13, I guess this is postponed until tomorrow when I can go into a location.

It's suspected that the project has a very high money burn rate. As in, as they saw the millions rolling in, they somehow perceived them as the profits of an ongoing business and used them for growth projection. If you want to be generous you'd say they lacked the awareness to see they were just milking their existing fanbase dry and thought they were genuinely gathering an even bigger following and the trend would continue. If not, then that they knew exactly what they were doing and are milking this cow for all it's worth, since either way croberts and co. leave this fiasco with plenty of money in their pockets (the larger the company and profitsdonations, the larger salary you can justify!).

Yeah, the referral system on top of them previously saying you could have as many accounts as you wanted has allowed them to drastically increase the account of backer accounts to well over 700k, while forum accounts from the free flight vouchers they've been handing out at events have taken them over 1 million.

I'd figure the number of actual backers is probably 400-500k at a guess with the active backer number (those actually paying attention to the game) is a lot less than that, 10 for the chairman seems to get 30-40k views. Now for a normal game you'd say well not everybody watches the news about the game, they play it, Star Citizen doesn't have much of that, so what else are people going to do but watch these terrible shows? Wild guess again but semi active backers ~200k

Also consider none of that is removing the refunds and people laughing at the terrible tv shows.

Both him and his wife have pretty much tied themselves to CIG, as they are both employed by it. To :frogout: they would both have to leave and probably go back to flipping burgers or some similar work, so I don't quite think his fanboy pride will allow him that. Not to mention how uncertain your future would look, if both you and your spouse lose their jobs at the same time while both of you take in an ungodly amount of calories each day.

If you've kept the same credit cards, the numbers change but the refund should arrive back on the right account as the old numbers are linked. Sometimes it doesn't work though in my experience. If you can stop them sending to an old card you should do that, once they've agreed to refund you they have admitted the debt and they should do that via another method if you explain the problem, you might need to prove that card was closed via a letter (This is the procedure as I understand it in the UK when it happened to me for an insurance refund).

Once they've sent the money it's your problem and they won't be at all interested unless you can prove the payment never arrived to the old account. Refunded money can go back to a cancelled card, but you'll have to contact the card company to figure out how to get it, I have no clue on that.

They've already sent the money so hopefully it shows up in my bank account. I'm not really that bothered about it considering I sold the ship on the grey market and am not sure why the amount was so high, also it was so long ago. I guess the main goal was the refund in itself anyway so mission accomplished I guess.

Small steps.

Start your day like i do: Brew a cup of Earl Grey Cream (or Creme if you get it from teavana), mix in a decent amount of milk, and then add a couple spoons of ketchup to taste.

The aroma of Hot Ketchup slowly steaming up from the cup is incredible.

I, under the name "Bootcha", an investor with Cloud Imperium Games from Nov 13, 2012 till today, have decided to part ways with Cloud Imperium Games. As such, my investment has been returned to me, as is, with no accumulated interest. I no longer have any remaining business, legal interest, or influential bearing with Cloud Imperium Games and their ongoing business operations, and they have no further obligations towards me.

My opinions have been public, honest, and within the terms of my NDA. I enjoyed helping Star Citizen however I could, and was blessed to meet and befriend so many passionate artists, engineers, and designers. However, this project no longer has need of me, nor I of it.

I would like to thank fuzzknot for giving me the kick in the rear end to get this exit ball rolling, Mr. Smart for being frank and open with me, many past and present CIG employees for talking to me, Ben Lesnick for giving me this opportunity in the first place, Imp Zone for shaking some sense into me, and the Goons as a whole for ruining everything.
