I mean, that opens a griefing mechanic the size of a gas giant, not only does it make suicide a viable tactic for the price factor but the time factor will be even more important. I swear to god, if they implement this poo poo I'm actually going to give Croberts some money because this game is going to be the best thing ever. I'm actually sporting a tiny boner right now just thinking of the endless griefing, this game is going to outsell Viagra.

Innovative Game Talk - It's going to be boring! The point is that a lot of things CIG is trying to do with SC, have already been done. Though usually with less fidelity. FPS <-> Vehicles <-> "Fighters" <-> Capital Ships (been done by BC3000ad) Multi-crew MP + PvP (Star Wars Galaxis, WWIIOL) Trading in Space (Elite, Eve Online etc.) EVA (Moonbase Alpha - Space Engineers - also has planets) Boarding combat between 2 player ships (PotBS and probably other naval action games) While The fidelity level of SC in terms of graphics is quite high, that is something a lot of engines can do. And pushing the graphics part of gaming is hardly innovative. Combing a lot of interesting game aspects into one big game is certainly interesting. But has already been done (GTA). SC is just intending to do "everything".
