Because I payed with Paypal, i am screwed.

It sounds like they hope you'll give up and not pursue this any further

Contact Paypal and your bank, and be sure to ask to speak to a supervisor. And contact your state's AG.

Finally, while there's a chance that the lawsuit is just a bunch of :woof:, send your info to Derek.

And yeah, if you are in the EU just send them this link: https://youtu.be/3XGAmPRxV48?t=19s

Well good luck. They've clearly made a decision to flat out refuse and the scary legal words will put most people off, even though I suspect even in the US they'll settle before small claims rather than defend. I wouldn't let them get away with it but then I'm an arsehole.

I get into my lovely mustang and I have to crouch to get into the seat or my head looks out the top of the ship, I clipped right out of the floor of that ship today too. The high roller bar is one room, a corridor and a lift, you can clip through one of the seats. I've clipped through floors on the starter base and the fps base in numerous locations, they've been working on the 3rd constellation redesign since the start of this year, I've clipped through the roof and the deck. all that with maybe a grand total of 90 mins "play"time. I can't imagine how many clipping issues they have to solve but it's obviously not an easy issue as it happens so often nearly 2 1/2 years after they first released the Hangar.

Does anyone trust this game to get finished anymore?

quote:

Got some misinformation going on here.
Let me just say that there was a leak a while back that reassured a lot of people. The leak was of an internal build of the game, and it had tons of assets that nobody had seen yet in it. That leak solidified that yes, despite how open the development of this game is, they are not showing us everything, not by a long shot.

So while you may feel like they haven't done much in 4 years, technically the kickstarter was a little over 3 years ago, so it hasn't been 4 years quite yet, and they definitely haven't shown off everything they're working on.

You're also severely misrepresenting what an alpha is. Alphas for many games are really just an early beta-like release. This is something that has been creeping into the market in recent years - the games calling themselves alphas are rarely true alphas, they just want to put a spin on the game and be able to sell it before its completed. You can tell this is the case because so many of them almost skip over calling anything a beta stage of development.

Also how can you say you don't see evidence of them doing much work? They've already accomplished some things that almost NOBODY has done in the gaming industry, and made it available for public testing. The game has been able to be PLAYED for a long time now, and its only getting more features as time goes on. They're actually not that far behind their release goals in a lot of cases, and compared to major industry games that have had delays in the past they're actually doing better than some that turned out to be huge blockbuster hits.

How can you say that 2.0 is a "tiny rear end game". There are games with less content than this with arguably less graphics for sale as a final product for over 4x the price. Right now. Want me to name one? How about Star Wars Battlefront? It has polish sure, and servers that you connect to, and I'm not saying you should compare the two straight up as that would be particularly unfair to Star Citizen since it is in an ALPHA state, but can you not see how they're still rather close in terms of total content provided?
You can play everything and see everything in Battlefront in a shorter time than it would take you to play and see everything in Star Citizen.

I put too much thought into this.

It's funny they didn't just have everyone launch from their own hanger (that seem logical, right? you call up your ship in your own hanger and it comes up through the floor?). Then the hanger rotates to face an exit port once one is available.

Like this:

You could start there on boot up, or take an elevator back to your hanger from the main station. You would invite friends who could get access to your hanger via any elevator. Anyone crowding in would simply be warped out to the main station to prevent griefing.

The exit from your hanger would be one-way... a force field allowing one way travel so no EVA'ers would sneak in. It would have a long tunnel for launching so you would be able to get up to speed by the time you were out of the station so people can't ram you. Also, no one could block your exit cause they would get a red flashing RESTRICTED warning close to the launch area and it would just push them out of the way via tractor beam or whatever the lore is but kudos on making this game as grief friendly as possible, CIG.

I am not a game dev, I never took one lesson.

I think that is how everyone imagined their hangers that they were spending all of this money on would be. A phyiscal space in the world where they could watch netflix spaceships and chill. Instead the game is an incomplete version of the first Planetside.
