AP posted:890 Jump is only thing they haven't sold recently (they can't sell Scythe Idris M), grey market is devastated, a lot of ships that would have made $200 profit a year ago being sold for melt cost. CIG must have figured they'd burn the grey market to the ground before Derek did. ah but that was the sheer brilliance of my plan all along. Or have you not been paying attention to all the knee-jerk reactions I've subjected them to, with my on-going shenanigans?

I get the feeling she's taking the piss with this, because I never heard of people studying important stuff like marine biology, only to suddenly go insane and abandon it for some vanity-bullshit like acting. Get in touch with us at wethebackers at dereksmart dot com if you want to be a part of any forthcoming legal action. But I predicted this months ago and warned everyone that this is precisely what would happen. The end result is that this now sets the stage for them to walk away when this project collapses. The fact that they are now blatantly declaring that 2.0 is substantial, is proof positive of this. Add that to the fact that when they changed the ToS in Feb 2015 to extend the delivery deadline for accountability by six (from 12 to 18) more months, I caught that. And it immediately signaled to me that they were going to pull a fast one before that deadline was up in May 2016, rather than move that date again. If they are saying this lovely 2.0 is substantial portion of the game, when in fact it is a buggy mess for which over 90% of the poo poo promised isn't in yet, that's the beginning of the end. Now you see why they recently made a significant change to this page: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/feature-list As I've said before, 2016 is going to be the year it all falls apart in spectacular fashion.

But my experience with labor laws doesn't go far beyond what I have run into as a Californian. I would guess CIG just makes everyone a manager and pays salary rather than by the hour. Or somesuch.

To get and maintain benefits you need to be considered full time, 32 hours a week or more and on payroll for a certain amount of time I doubt they're denying people benefits or messing with labor laws cause holy gently caress do governments react quickly to labor violations. I've seen businesses come to a complete halt because of labor law issues.

I'm sure some people at CIG have heard of it, but Chris Roberts is not one of those people. You can still find people who defend him on Freelancer's fuckups, blaming Microsoft for not just giving him more time and money so he could finish what he started while not realizing Chris Roberts needs someone holding his leash or he'll run around pissing on everything until he collapses. Like Peter Molyneux he's still going to have fans and defenders if SC is terrible though because some people can't get over the fact that a person worked on some good games in the 90s. I don't know if he had someone slapping him in to line on Wing Commander and Privateer or what but Chris Roberts is the posterchild for why Feature Creep is real and bad.

But my experience with labor laws doesn't go far beyond what I have run into as a Californian. That makes sense too. I just have some very vague recollection of this being offered as an explanation for why their personnel turnover was high at some point. Not that it makes much difference — it's not really something that seems healthy 4 years into a project unless they're planning something new or different and expanding to meet that new demand… …which itself doesn't seem healthy for a company that has as its only purpose to produce a single game.
