Nah, 2 was in mexico. If its the same one from tremors 1, it'd be the one in tremors 3 with the roof lopped off.

Parts availability is usually pretty good on full size Jeeps, and anything needing a creative solution has already been done and documented on the forums. The drivetriain should be super solid if original: Buick 350, T18 trans with super low granny, D20 case, Dana44 axles.

This was an awd car, so they're probably still using the original rear. I wonder how many spare differentials it comes with.

Lemme rephrase. Its not walk into a parts store, ask for part, get part easy for a few things. We've been helping a customer restore one to sell and the trim pieces specific to that vehicle or made of rubber is proving interesting to find. But I also have no access to the internet/google at work, so this is just referring to whats in the computer/books. Enthusiast forums probably have a wealth of knowledge and people selling used parts for them that I don't have access to.

I've heard you can kill parrots pretty easily with various kinds of airborne contaminant; even heating up a teflon pan in the vague vicinity will immediately kill most breeds of them.

Doesn't seem right for an animal so smart and so long-lived.

Yep, their lungs have little sacs that hold air so they can exchange gasses on inhalation and exhalation. Gotta stay well oxygenated when your muscles are the only thing keeping you from falling out of the sky.

If Magnas parts binned in with an EVO/DSM/Galant VR4 rear end, it'll be fine. Depending on the amount of power, the axles might be unhappy, but the diff will be fine.

Yeah, mechanical usually means it won't start. from the pics it looks like it has been sitting for a few decades. Looking at how clean and simple the rest of the car is, even an engine rebuild seems like it would be soooooooo worth it.

copart has mystery fees that vary from yard to yard. It might be as little as $20 or as much as $400. They also usually charge $20 to get into the yard. even if you're just looking at stuff or picking up your vehicle. Being a clean title car, you should be able to bid on it, but if you're serious about it find out first, because some places still require a dealers license and stuff, even on the clean title stuff.

Well, I'm in the next state over, so I'd probably have to get it shipped and can't really go look at it. I tried to estimate shipping cost but it didn't give me anything. I'll watch it but I expect the bids to climb pretty quick.

Edit: it's already at $775.

I can't tell from the pictures if it's manual or automatic.

I'd assume manual because it's a Volvo, but it would be a loving tragedy to buy it, then turn up and find an auto.

Edit: according to Copart's site, you need a broker to bid on any vehicle in Colorado, and gently caress the $200+ transaction fees they all seem to charge.

You'd have to trailer it back to where you're at and those original parts might not be worth saving. I'd avoid unless you really want to restore it and have a ton of cash to burn.

RAAAAARGH!!!! GIFT CARDS ARE FUCKING RETARDED!!!!

(I need a hug)
Sitting in the grass like that, there's not going to be any rockers/sill panels left, maybe no solid floors either. My mazdas are bad enough and they were rust free when I bought them, and never sat in grass. Japanese cars just rust, a lot, if not taken care of.
I love old datsuns too. Even though I'm more into ford falcons now, and all about mazdas before that, I like the old datsuns. My brothers first car was a datsun and I learned to drive in it a bit, also I had friends with 1600s and 180 sss. I even remember an old 1200 datsun ute with a rotary in it at the drag track.
Half the reason I got into rotaries was I used to like datsuns and there was a few madsuns/dazdas about (datsuns with rotaries). I would love a 240z, (e: can't even find a hotwheels version!), but they are $10k+ cars here now and for that money I'd rather find a ford fairlane.
