Failure is pre-streaming their new one (due out in a week or so):

I dunno, there's some really cool stuff on there, but I really don't like their choice of first single "Hot Traveler". It's great to have a proper recording of "I Can See Houses", and "Mulholland Drive" is an Floyd-ian epic straight out of 1972. Overall I think this one will take a few listens for fans to appreciate, but it'll get there.

A new Radio Dept. single came out last week, and there hasn't been a post here about it? Crazy. It's super good.

I've seen them a couple of times (They were playing a free gig a couple of weeks ago) and the new stuff since the first EP is a pretty different direction to what they used to do.

First EP is still great though.

I was in Buenos Aires a few months ago and picked up a copy of Soda Stereo - Dynamo at a second hand market. Hasn't left my car for a while now. I didn't really know they did a shoegazey album but it's great.

I completely forgot the new album came out a few days ago. Giving it a listen now and so far it's pretty enjoyable. They just keep getting better. Space Song is so dreamy.

I think This Review says it better than I can.

I just can't get over how amazing the new Alcest is, despite having almost no metal elements whatsoever. It's such a drastic left turn from the last two albums but it's still great.

so, looks like it is true

http://pitchfork.com/news/61394-lush-announce-first-live-show-in-20-years/

"Lush have announced their first live show in 20 years. It'll take place on May 6, 2016 at London Roundhouse. Alongside the reunion, 4AD will reissue Lush's best-of compilation, Ciao!, in November, followed by a limited-edition boxset called Chorus in December. That'll comprise early compilation Gala, their three studio albums, B-sides set Topolino, and a clutch of other rarities. Justin Welch of Elastica will play drums at the Roundhouse show. "

Ulrich Schnauss made some pretty good dreampop/gazey-ish electronic albums, like "Far Away Trans Passing By" and "A Strangely Isolated Place".
Can't vouch for his more recent output as I haven't heard it.

Manual & Syntaks hits the mark as well (ignore the cheesy youtube video picture)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFVMbQjXmzY

and to add to that, Manual as a whole gets interesting at times.

The Blue Skied an Clear comp also has a collection of electronic/shoegaze artists covering Slowdive tunes. Some good, some eh.....

Has anyone seen the shoegaze documentary Beautiful Noise? I've really wanted to see it since I saw initial blurbs about it when it was still in development stages a while back, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'd love to know if any shoegaze fans in this thread have seen it and what anyone's thoughts are about it.

I saw it and it's alright, but I've heard there's better documentaries out there on the same subject which is pretty easy to believe. I haven't seen them if that's true, though.
