I don't normally poke fun on folks for their appearances because, it is quite frankly childish. But I guess my inner child stirs as I write this.

The sad thing about Ben is that, before any streams or programs, they have to clear off or tape everything small down to the desks so they don't get sucked into his gravity well.

I've worked CSR for a company where it was me and the guy in the spot above me. It was also for a multi-million dollar company with apps on mobile, gaming, and computer devices and we were able to keep things pretty simple and organized rather easily.

I'm not saying that it's the same thing as what CIG are facing (it's not, one is a game company while the other was a TV channel) but it's still not farfetch'd to just get more organized and work through the tickets if you have the CSR staff dedicated to doing it even if it's just two dudes in the back corner eating Shake Shack.

When a substantial portion of your support tickets are for refunds and you have no other method of income, your definition of working through might shift a little.

Report the pedophilic content to your federal police - get a police report number - contact CIG inform them of the report number.
Congratulations you have just performed an action of an adult.

And you should be an Adult instead of not reporting it and using it as tool to further an agenda, which DOES make you appear almost as bad as the offender - because instead of reporting it you're instead using the same pedophilic content for your own means.

And sure you might say you're doing it to warn people - but you're not really, because if you were warning people it wouldn't be attached to asking if another ban is measurable to it. Comparing the two together doesn't change the fact you're referencing Child Porn when doing so.

I can tell you now a police report trumps a public forum ban dispute, and would go a long way to fixing the problem instead of just airing it publicly.
If you had just brought up the child porn breach without attaching and comparing it to Beers ban - You'd have massive support for having the person banned for longer, or outright.

But you knew that already - you knew by attaching it to an agenda you could manipulate people into letting their grudges get the better of them - you knew someone like /r/Scimitar3[1] would make a statement you could use for your little war on the Star Citizen community.

Humans are easy to predict - but don't forget you might not have actually used child porn - but you still "used" it to get your result.

If only Beer hadn't brought it up, people would be supportive of CIG taking action against people posting child porn. Instead we used it for ulterior motives to incite Redditors to act dumb.

True, but it's sort of silly regardless.

I would not be surprised if all the refund requests were given that statement but it seems like they just did it universally.

CIG are objectively worse at customer support than EA.

It took EA just under a day to help me with a "can not connect"-problem in BF4.
The sort of problem where they, not I, actually had to do something.
I remember being very surprised at getting a solution so fast.

But why the gently caress would you want to answer tickets, and solve issues, right? Easier to delete that poo poo. Segway over to less problematic issues, like - adding more subscription plans.

I'm just reading this about deleting all the tickets with complete disbelief. What the loving gently caress? I haven't spent a loving cent on Star Citizen and I am actually pissed off that they would have the loving nerve to do that. If their support is even a fraction as glacially slow as it seems to be, there are legitimate complaints from real paying true believers that have been deleted. It's bad enough that they're delaying people who want their money back, but loving over the people who are actually continuing to pay to keep the lights on? Bullshit. That's horrendous, no ifs ands or buts about it. There is no justification for it - none - and maybe, just maybe, some of the backers will actually realize that something if terribly wrong with how CIG does business.

You never just wipe out your queue, regardless of what type of help desk you are on. I worked on a IT help desk for awhile, and we were often behind by a couple hundred tickets. You don't get the option to just delete tickets because you didn't have time to address them. What is their method of "handling" that is so time consuming? Sending an email? Most help desk and customer support teams do that regardless of whether the issue is fixable or not, they are just answering emails. Even with 4 people, answering 25 emails a day would get you though 1000 tickets in a week and a half.

I knew CiG was bad, but it is difficult to gently caress up a help desk. As always though, they found a way.
