we have a mostly enclosed backyard, but the fence has a little bit of trim on it about 80% of the way up that the cats can definitely jump onto then up and over the fence. so they have to be watched at all times and all they want to do is go outside. and now that i'm home all the time, black esteban just stands in my room and screams at me for hours on end, and if I get up runs screaming to the door. i leave several windows/sliding doors open so they can sniff outside but oh my god cat, shut up. i even take them out for 30 minutes each morning for them to roll around in the dirt but it's not enough, it's never enough.

dogface is not a fan of the -10f/-23c temps we're having this week. i put him outside to go to the bathroom and he does the deed, starts hobbling around wagging one foot in the air at a time, and after about 15 seconds just lies down in the snow until I carry him inside.
