The great irony is that the PTU is the only thing people care about and keeps them buying ships yet they need SQ42 to have an actual source of revenue. If SQ42 by some miracle releases this year, I think it will be a buggy, awful mess. You can't go from showing absolutely nothing to a gaming mag to alpha, beta, Q&A and release in a year without cutting a lot of meat.

Only thing missing is when picking up the load I want high fidelity NPCs operating forklifts to load my cargo. For even greater immersion, I should have an animation of getting out of my truck and paying lumpers to unload my trailer. Edit: I can't type for poo poo today. ETS2 was good stress relief in retrospect.

Yeah, I modded the game. Was flying through Tunisia around 145MPH or so with 20 tons of cargo. I'd pass the cars on the berm making my way through the desert. If I flipped I just call for the tow truck and it would haul me the next town. That's lo-fidelity, but quite a serviceable option to handle a gameplay mechanism.

God drat it Crobberts. All that discussion about armor started me googling around looking at various science fiction armor setups and now like three hours later I have nothing to show for it except for the knowledge that there was an awesome rear end Starship Troopers miniature game that I desperately want but went out of production like 8 years ago. You owe me three hours and a Starship Troopers board game, Chris Roberts.

He's trying to create a game to compete with the best the genre has to offer, with no knowledge of what's been done already, and how it fared. He has ideas for "new" stuff that came out in 1996. He thinks traveling through vents is the pinnacle of innovation, a trope so old I can't even find its first use in video gaming. The backers should be correcting him, not falling for any nonsense...
