I still put up with it cause basically all I want from it is the temperature on my notification bar, but if you want actual weather forecasts just go to NOAA.

I tried Timely for a week and I'm back to Gentle Alarm. You can't change the volume of the pre-alarm to differ from the normal alarm and can't change the time of the next alarm without messing with your standard alarms. As Lastinline said everyone has a different use case when it comes to alarm apps.

I was on forecast.io which has been shockingly inaccurate, especially with any kind of precipitation. Before anyone asks, yes my location is accurate. I've been using Apex Launcher Pro for ages. Is it worth me switching to something else? I mostly just like having the option to apply different icon themes, I don't use many other functions.

I'm I the only one that vastly prefers the Google Now launcher over Nova and Launcher Pro? It felt like both offered way, way too much customization options that I would have to endlessly dick with to get it to my liking where Google Now is basically featureless but clean and easy to use.

I don't know if I'd call it a vast preference, but at some point yeah messing with folders and margins and animations and stuff gets real old (I used Nova for two years), and you realize that Google's actually kinda sorta got a hang of this.

It just seems a bit childish, by the time I was in high school my parents stopped coddling me out of bed and said here is the alarm clock, you are up and ready by school time or you suffer the consequences from the school when you don't show up. Saturday detention was way less fun than just throwing myself in the shower for 15 minutes to wake up.

I kind of prefer how Nova does it, in that you don't have to have the "tap to open" app in the folder, unlike Action. That said, I love Action's slide out app drawer so much more than the traditional app drawer.

Google Now Launcher actually switched back to vertical app drawer recently, too. I've even gotten some use out of the favorite apps at the top of the app drawer even though I initially saw no purpose in it and had it disabled. Sure, its the same apps I have in folders on my home screen but I've launched apps from it enough times to say I guess I kinda get it. Google Now Launcher became my go to when I decided I was done loving with margins and home screen grids literally all goddamn day. I decided to go all in with Google and let them do all the futzing for me and I'm .24% less trapped in my phone because of it.

I hide everything that's on my home screen and apps I don't use (system apps, apps for things that run in the background that you don't interact with). Makes the app drawer more like a scrolling folder to catch all the infrequently used apps without having to scroll through everything.

I liked the app drawer on action launcher 3 a lot, I ended up going back to Google Now Launcher though because I end up spending way too much time looking at icon packs and obsessing over my phone when I have the ability to change little things like that. I also like to use Google Now so swipping left to right to bring that up is pretty great for me. To recommend stuff to spend your google money on I'd say Weather Timeline and Wunderlist are both worth using, Mightytext is pretty great too if you spend a lot of time on a PC and dont want to pick up your phone. I normally just blow my rewards money on renting movies because I already have the paid version of most of the apps I want.
