SC whales are probably high IQ IT specialists and pretty comfortable in their own brilliance - which they then apply to literally every other domain and then we get brony Dolphin blogs about Hitler and Octopode's legal opinions. On the trump side I am convinced his popularity is due to American's white hot hatred of people who seem smarter than them. Actually this could be pretty funny to merge the communities, is there any way we can plan a trump rally at the next citcon?

It's great that we get a +3 paranoia aura for absolutely free just for being goons. If this game was ever close to release we could gently caress everything up just with rumours that we started buying accounts but would only join up in an ORG of our own once we had established ourselves within other ORGs. Instant hit on everyone and we start with a bunch of stolen goods. Does anyone have a link to that meltdown in the early days where the pubbie leader started a countdown to nuclear missile launch and everything?

I love how the idea of nothing getting done because Early Days has even spread to the programming of the web-site, to the point where implementing store credit for basic features takes weeks because they need to make an intricate development pipeline for it first. I've even seen people explain away the "token" system Lesnick mentioned last week as being a "test phase" so that they can more fully implement store credit in the future. They don't even wait for Huckaby to make this stuff up for them before using it as a defense.

There's a AtV episode where they interview the animators, and they say flat out they basically spend most of their time writing scripts to matchify different disparate mo-cap data, and schmear it all onto the moving target that is the skeletal rig. As of that update, they were on v9 of the rig. So yes, there's plenty of truth to it. It's why the animations have been hosed for always. I'll dig up the link. Maybe not everything they say on these 'open development' videos might actually be true. I can't even work out how they get into this mindset considering just how many times CIG has failed to meet up with their statements. Double-think layered on double-think.

Hey I'd take a consistent lack of ability in a manager over one with marginal ability in a creative domain. The former might be insecure enough to listen to the experts they hire and be desperate to deliver results. CR shows us how the wunderkind visionary genius handles experts (there to gratify his ego) and delivers results (the vision cannot fail, only be failed). My uninformed take is Erin seems to be a more competent manager than CR. He just has to be. If their organizational roles were reversed I believe the project would have a better chance of success.
