Rigged Death Trap posted:2JZ? I wonder if that meme can die now that turbo tech is lightyears ahead of where it was back in the late 90's early 2000's days of 1000hp Supras. Guess you can't really compensate for the spool advantages that variable cams brought though. What the S54 does on boost is kinda a sneak peak though. I assume everything is held to the truck frame with a handful of Home Depot chinesium molly bolts and the slightest impact will launch the car and the camper forward in a catastrophic mess. It's still awesome.

The taillights look like placeholders Jimmy down in the shop fabbed up on his bandsaw just to get it done while the engineers looked for a matching cluster from an existing car that would fit in the slot.

Is there something these dudes love about putting 4-5 oil drums strapped to the flatbed prior to ramming something? Or maybe to get the vehicle up to a specific weight, fill 'em with water?

I want this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks-mfmWkoGk With all the SEMA show-car stuff like the carbon fiber bed and stupid stickers removed of course. Mid-300s horsepower for 1800lbs? Hell yeah. KozmoNaut fucked around with this message at 14:43 on Jan 31, 2016 |

Yeah that'd be so much better if it ran and didn't loving make noises like it was scrubbing itself away. Yeah that's just the driveshaft spinning and hitting some bolt, no big deal. When I first saw this it was fantastic, just a Skyline looking pickup without all the pointless bits. Pity it was 'improved' SEMA seems to be the place of great ideas completely ruined by overdoing a concept.

A carbon fiber bed and 1800lb curb weight may not be entirely mutually exclusive. The guy was a bit vague on whether or not he took actual skyline panels or if he replicated them in the interview. Based on the build photos, it looks like they made nearly every panel from scratch. Content: Have the bestest little turbo
