So I have read the responses to my trailer, and the problem is that now I HAVE to fix things, like removing those benches and trash cans, or they will bother me forever. I've taken a lot of feedback (including here in SA, though it's not the best place for constructive criticism) and the film is much better for it (the footage from the trailer is now quite dated) but its time to be done. I had two last vfx shots to finish while my audio guy finishes up foley and ADR, now I have three including the benches and trash cans, which it still quite dooable, but I'm not taking any more feedback. Nothing personal toward anyone here. It's bizarre to say that if you have a great idea for improvement, don't point it out of I will feel the need to fix it, but yeah. There it is.

As an example of how much great feedback improves my work though:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bv92PeukRM

They say that a camel is a horse designed by committee, but in this case, the best ideas were obviously not my own.

Those curious about Shotgun, there are some screen caps in that video btw.

I'll be peeking my head back into this thread now and then, but it moves fast, so if I don't respond to anyone, again, please don't take it personally.

Hey, your passive-aggressive "yeah nice mails lol I'm skeptic"/"dude I don't care really" response to Beer was lovely and cuntish. One day when Star Citizen has failed you and the community's burned to cinders you will come back here because there's nowhere else to go - and we'll all remember this. You can try to apologize then of course. Or you can choose the classy way of interacting with people by admitting you were wrong, and lo! waters be oiled. Up to you dude.

You are totally right. They aren't actually there in her close-up and she is just pretending to see them, as her lighting was terrible the first time we shot (it's only slightly better now) so I had to get her close-up in a pickup shot later with neither of the other actors present. It's too bad you can tell, but as that location cost $100 and hour, even when we were still doing reshoots it wouldn't have been feasible.

Here's the thing Fuzzy Modem. In this specific instance, we aren't asking that you acknowledge that Star Citizen will never be delivered as promised, let's set that aside. We just want you to acknowledge that you allow for the possibility that Sandi is whatever those emails say she is. Admitting that's true has no bearing, necessarily, on what happens to Star Citizen. This issue is narrow in scope, at least from our point of view.

At 1:48 he's standing straight looking at the camera. A second later when the camera focuses back on the AI thing, the brother's head is tilted to his left. Because the perspective is not consistent in who he is talking to it gives the appearance that he teleports in front of the ai to mute him then pops back to his original spot.

I don't recall anyone saying anything negative about it, at least not until he came back and talked about it even more. He seemed to have a meltdown pre-emptively and leave, without anyone even commenting on it at all.

Not sure why you're white knighting him when no one even said anything negative.

Also it's been pointed out people asked him questions and wanted a dialog, but he instead acted like a dick and ignored them while still saying "I love spaceships! Why don't you? Maybe you need a new hobby :smug:".

edit: and someone this very page I believe asked (for the second time) what it would take to acknowledge Beer's email exchange with the Ice Princess, and I doubt he'll answer that either.

The description of Sandi I hear from DS and other corners is so at odds with the person I know as to be extremely suspect.

That being said, I'm sure I have known terrible people without realizing they were terrible, but no, I do not believe Sandi- look, she would have to have, like, a split personality, which is possible, but pretty unlikely. I'm very done talking about it now. The Sandi bashing is the reason I DONT like this thread. I have nothing further to say on the matter.
