I think if we could run some cross-tabs on the more repulsive members of the star citizen community we would see alot of overlap with objectivist/libertarian ideology. I was reading some zecumbe post where he was ranting about Chris being an innovator and goons hating him for his success, and I suddenly knew that this dude has read Atlas Shrugged at least twice. The allegory of the genius entrepreneur being taken down by the mediocre horde basically writes itself. Of course the fact that Chris is actually a bumbling thumb-for-a-face with no managerial skills should destroy the allegory but these are people who lack the critical faculty to see that ayn rand is actually bad, so.

Let's check out how far the stretch goals in Star Citizen have come along! This is OK because it clearly says upon release and this is pre-alpha so it's normal that the promised 2 million dollar content isn't available after 50 times the budget and 2 times the promised development time.

That's even worse. Reminds me of being back at school when a couple of kids decided it was funny to call me Geoff. My name isn't Geoff or anything like it. Geoff isn't a clever acronym, the name of someone else they were comparing me to, it was just the wrong name. Always bugged me not because those kids were calling me names (hell, "Geoff" is better than most terms of abuse), but because they thought they were being so clever. Same thing here. This isn't just the sort of thing you'd get from children, it's the sort of thing you'd get from really stupid children.

But given that earlier description, it's definitely time to try again (or just replace the old stick with something made in the last decade).
