I think it will make more sense when you read the ScumDoc. We hard to either bus Metos or out ourselves. If Jake hadn't thrown the game for himself, Town was doomed and Jake had a fair chance.

I Jailed Foo last night to protect him from a potential scum nightkill, since I hit Metos the night before and so wouldn't be able to tonight in case he wasn't the poisoner. Whoever we lynch tonight I can jail the other no problem.

We discussed this briefly at the end of the scumdoc, but I think the two setup changes we identified are:

Make the Godfather's BP a 1-shot like the Miller's, to avoid the edge case of Godfather vs. SK stalemates and make the SK's life a little easier when they have a very tough game already.
Make action resolution order explicit so that it's crystal-clear the SK kill resolves before (and can cancel) the scum kill.

We were vulnerable to being outed through flavor patterns, so Podima posted a doc with all the PMs to make the flavor part of the open setup. Unfortunately, each Scum PM included the link to the ScumDoc. I caught this a few hours later and it was recified.

and Lumpen I wasn't trying to throw, I was just trying to keep the game in a position where I controlled the vote and scum + town were even, which is why i withheld the kill. I knew that if you killed me the town would win, so if anything you threw the game to spite me for having a winning strat that didn't mesh with your gameplan :colbert:
