That sure was a trip. Thanks to Podima for running this and everyone else for being accomodating. I'll have more detailed thoughts maybe tomorrow when I'm not working on homework but this was a blast.

I have no idea what happened in this game. at all. The scum claiming completely threw me for a loop and I just didn't count votes to figure out what the hell was going on. I was more disengaged than I wanted to be to play a game of mafia and was considering replacing out, but with all the other replacements I thought i'd stick it out. Scheduling also didn't work particularly well for me, but oh well. Thanks Podima, and now I know not to play two games back to back. I do feel pretty good about getting the call on Lumpen correct though.

With 100 it just seemed like he was the last one to come out and say anything after Lumpen scumclaimed, for some reason it just felt like he was the one to go after today with Gulag I felt like Lumpen self voting was like a reverse psychology thing where he wanted me to think he was baiting me to kill him the tracking on gulag was enough to know he wasn't the RB so we had a 1/3 chance and I went with my gut. Really towards the end of the day I felt like he wasn't the godfather because Lumpen was talking as if the godfather would still be around after this lynch, and I guess I was feeling it more as him slipping and giving that info out, but with how much hassle it was to get people in the thread just to vote initially I didn't want to try and rock the boat and change it and was fine to just go with Gulag. I was pretty surprised in the end when he flipped. I dunno it was just weird gut feels with how Lumpen was talking. It felt like he was trying to manipulate me into doing certain things by pretending to manipulate me into doing obvious things

Yeah as soon as I inherited Jailer I was like "well, this isn't going to do me much good". And, looking at the scum doc, it didn't! But it did give me an excuse to keep paying attention to what felt like a lost game, and I figured I'd just keep it hidden in case anyway. The fact that Lumpen thought Foo inherited jailer meant something went right, I guess.

Yeah that was a... Rough night. Obviously wouldn't have brought it into any other thread but given how this one requires posting frequently I felt it was lovely to disappear especially when I was under suspicion at the time. As I said above I decided I didn't want to be a lurker scum but learn the hard way how pbp Mafia works. As for the swords.  she likes swordfighting. The real scary thing in her hands is her battleaxe.

In the ScumDoc I go into great detail about the cases for and against sacrificing Metos (who was exposed for his fakeclaim of Jailer when Jake killed TheCog), vs refusing to sacrifice Metos and thus exposing the Scumteam. We had expected the SK to kill imgay, since Tracker was the biggest claimed threat that could expose him. We suspected Jake was the SK and confirmed it with a RB failure. At that point we knew Jake was SK, and we counted on him being a more rational actor and pursuing his win condition rather than throwing the game. As it turned out, we might have been better off with a quick bus of Metos and trying to keep our cover, but there's no way to know for sure. Jake made some really clutch moves to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It was crazy how many moving parts and coalescing probabilities there were interacting as the game came to a head. Any of Town, Scum, or SK victory was absolutely possible and reasonable all the way to the D5 hammer, even with all the info that was publicly exposed. Even N5 it really could have easily gone Town or Scum, if Jake had killed a Townie in hopes that we would also kill a different Townie. Which we very nearly did! We almost targeted Foo (which would have failed due to Jail), and then we might have had a really interesting D6!

well i withheld the kill knowing you would kill a townie, and then it would be 2v2vme where I was the deciding vote, if I killed a scum I would have been lynchable and I kept myself in a position where killing me would result in that team losing

so yeah i basically had it so whoever killed me would lose, but if no one killed me I would just win, or at least go to a 1v1v1 last day where I was hoping I could get the town to vote the scum with me
