XCOM 2 is pretty loving fun. Especially after i found the Operation name listing.

Although strangely enough I haven't added Logan to a character pool yet.

Oh my god

I know this is entirely off topic but I'm sure the people reading this thread also like XCOM.

His service record is long, filled with all kinds of hard operations, specializing in complete penetration and exploitation of enemy security holes. This mission though is of the utmost importance, and were the enemy to perform well and erect their defenses ahead of time I fear we may have to order the agent to pull out prematurely before things become a total mess. By nature this is a slow and gentle operation, so roughness is not permissible, lest the enemy feel the agent within them and react by tightening security.

Update 18 - All The Things

Syphon Filter Episode 21 - D.C Senate Building|(26:54)
Logan makes it to the end of the Syphon Filter scare and finally stops the Agency and thwarts the Consortium's plans to use the virus ever again. Now, he can only look to the future...

I love Coolguye's "God damnit" it's like my favorite voice clip ever for agitation. So, what have you guys thought? I'm gonna take another break and we'll be back with the second trilogy, no doubt about it. Look forward to it. It's going to get far, far more exciting than ever seen. Also for those in the thread who play XCOM 2 I'm going to get a Syphon Filter character pool worked on shortly. If you want to guess at character nicknames be my guest :v:

I don't know if Lune is going to play it but i bought a copy of Dark Mirror on the PS2 and while i can understand it's a port of PSP game, WOW is it pretty bad and i think Gabe's voice actor isn't the same one it always has been?

To give you an idea, i killed myself twice in the tutorial, once from fall damage while Teresa and Gabe where talking about The Agency not having liability if you kill yourself while using the new zipline thingy and again when the door you have to shoot to progress opens outwards towards you and crushed me to death.

Unfortunately John Chacon does not return. It is in fact James Arnold Taylor for the next series of games, he's pretty good.

He's also the voice of Tidus from FFX :v:

Now, not having actually sat down that much for any of the 2nd trilogy I'm open minded. We'll see if he carries on the mantle of Avatar of the Taser.

Also speaking of all this here's the XCOM 2 Syphon Filter character pack. I noticed some annoyances with the char pool option in that gsme though where they don't always appear as the class I set so it may just be best for you to grab them with the "Recruitment" option. Finding them somewhere else as a not-rookie doesn't guarantee the proper class. Hell it barely saves their armor camo and such. You'll need Capnbubs accessory pack to get Rhoemer's sweet beret too. Put the char pool .bin into My Documents > My Games > XCOM2 > XComGame > CharacterPool > Importable.

Looking at the IMDB page I googled whatever Strikeforce Challengers was and, by this simple search, this may be the man we know as Gabe Logan right here.

Today is the day I figure out Omega Strain. I'm getting the controls down first, doing a few runs, and then I'll see what the initial character customization options will allow me to make. I can't change the appearance later, for some reason, so what I make is what we're stuck with :v:

The plot of Omega Strain is the Taser needs another general to lead in another realm so Logan needs to find that kind of person, in case you were curious. There is no global conspiracy or evil villains and viruses :kiddo:

In all seriousness I want you all to take a good look at this picture.

The "EPDD" is just the official terminology of our beloved Taser. I want you all to look at this and see that it is unlocked by achieving the highest rating in NON-LETHAL TAKEDOWNS.

We call this Electro Muscular Disruption in the future :getin:

There is actually a dialogue you can listen to with every award, rank, commendation you earn, and I LOVE THEM ALL. The M-79, of course, makes its return, because my canon is loving awesome.

I'm getting super pumped about this now, holy poo poo. The music in this game is so good. If you are a gun lover you will also like this game. It's not PAYDAY levels of gun porn but there sure are a lot of loving guns.

Fuuuuuuck there's so many side things to do in this game!

Might be this problem that turned up where some people (don't remember why) can't see images if they're http being linked to an https site (such as SA). One way to fix it (the only one I remember) is to have the images hosted in an https link.

Anyone have the more technical explanation?

I dunno about that, it shows up for me and some other people

Also gently caress par times. I've figured out how to best do this now though. The levels can be dark in a lot of places and there's no reason to explore half the time. I want to show off all the online sided poo poo too, so for all my videos I'm going to have my levitation cheat activated. There's a lot of "Teammate needed" stuff to boost people around and I'll just go ahead and do that because the IPCA doesn't hire anyone who can't float around like Chris Angel :smuggo:

I'll do all the objectives in a single video while making par time. This will keep the videos within my running parameter of "All Carthage levels in one video" kind of thing we've been seeing across the LP. I want to shoot dudes and this game wants to rush me around

That's fine though, there'll be plenty of shoot mans levels without worrying overmuch about the time I think, besides when I get the levels down they feel pretty fun actually. They are also borderline impossible if you get caught up on something for more than 2 seconds. Can't wait to start posting these though! Now, I just need to figure out if there's a cheat code I can find that auto completes all objectives in a level after playing it, because I found out there's one level, even if you cheat, you can't accomplish the team objective through gameplay.

Also drat the weapons you start with suck major rear end. These 3-round burst guns are awful and I'm sitting here right in front of a dude firing 30 rounds and he just wastes me because nothing is hitting him for some reason.

That's basically what frustrated me about Omega Strain when I played it back when it was actually new on the PS2. To get to the fun stuff you had to play it in co-op to get the ridiculous and who the hell actually played PS2 games over the internet. When the game reduced or dropped that kind of thing it got really fun.

It's ok I got this, I can levitate + noclip. I also managed to get a cheat code that will auto complete all Team Objectives even if I don't do them (but I will because violence is awesome).

You can't even get the best ending without doing the team objectives. I don't even think you are considered to have beaten a mission unless you get par time. It's bullshit, but I have my own brand of bullshit :smug:

If I was a cynical man I'd think that the side missions (which indeed are all really fun, good, single player, and unique) were what the game was originally going to be (a group of mostly enjoyable if occasionally stereotypical agents each using their own unique skills to accomplish various missions) until some Sony executive came in and said "We need a game to promote our lovely online system and you're it."

If I was cynical.
