It's old news now, but I watched the Bishop speech video for the first time today, having previously avoided every single Star Citizen video because I just knew they would be cringeworthy and awful. Guess what, I wasn't wrong! Jesus Christ how do you make something this bad without doing it on purpose. If it was just a tech demo for the facial mocapping then maybe it would be okay, but this is supposed to be the finished intro cinematic for an  AAA videogame.An almost entirely static presentation of some badly-proportioned old fart with a gigantic mouth making a speech that's not only laughably empty-sounding but would also be utterly meaningless to a new player, all with practically no non-facial animation whatsoever in the entire video. Look at how ridiculous that podium thump is. Then there's the swelling music in the background trying desperately to convince you how epic this near-motionless scene is, which pushes the entire thing almost to parody level. Like, they can't possibly be serious with this, and yet look where we are. I was going to post screenshots of the stupidest faces he pulls but there's just too many. All you have to do is pause literally any time his mouth is open. Honestly shocked not to see SANDI GARDINER anywhere in that credit reel, which also looks idiotic by the way. "WOOO LOOK AT OUR FANCY GRAPHICS AND HOW AWESOME WE ARE FORTY-TWO VERSE REDACTED ARE WE COOL YET??? o7 CITIZENS" Sorry for the outburst, I suddenly experienced an immense sensation of disgust for a while there.

I hadn't found a home for them and wouldn't have let them suffer a slow death through the Swedish autumn, so I was pretty much resigned to the thought of euthanizing them mercifully, rockwise. Fortune smiled upon us though, and I found a pet store that would take them both. I like to think they led a happy and long life thereafter Those were my favorite crabs, thanks for letting me share

We have these guys where I live. They're pretty cool, they stick plants to themselves to hide. LuiCypher posted:That is one swole crab. It probably sucks a lot for the crab, but at least they don't get boiled alive. e: Japanese spider crabs are terrifying. I can deal with most underwater stuff, but I'd probably poop a lot if I saw one diving. They're scary enough in aquariums.
