Are you playing the Redux edition? It replaces the original combat with Last Light's mechanic and is way better. I still liked how hardcore the original was when poo poo was going down and you would fail at stealth but some people hated it.

Also those escort missions are by far the worst parts of the game. Still the atmosphere absolutely owns.

I think Deus Ex was actually original gonna let you do that, they only cut out the whole UNATCO path because they ran out of money and time, but there's still fragments of dialog that implied it would be a thing. Like, a voice clip of JC Denton telling Paul "sorry, but i read the message and i'm still sticking with UNATCO"

They tried again for DeusEx 2 and the result was a pretty resounding “meh” since it just changed who yelled at you at the end of a given mission, and basically just made for a slightly longer version of the “press button to choose ending” Deus Ex staple.

I suppose the main problem is that, to do that, you essentially have to make 1.5 games (you get 0.5 for free because you can probably follow the same story beats on the same maps). But you have to create completely different scripts and scripting to play that story out, and all the audio and animation assets to make those paths happen. In DeusEx's case, it's probably also a bit harder since you have an unambiguously bad guy at one end, and a spectrum of slightly less bad people at the other. They would have had to completely rework Bob Page to make him a reasonable authority figure to follow, for instance — something more along the lines of Sarif in DX:HR.

Mexico.
Usually new releases in consoles are being priced at 1000 to 1300 pesos.
Bandai Namco on steam has been pretty good with the prices, being 440 or so on new releases, Dark Souls 3 has a base price of 500 or so.
With the season pass bundled, it is 735 WITHOUT discount.

With the discount it is 693 pesos, which is a little above half what just the base game would cost me on physical release.

For example: http://gameplanet.com/street-fighter-v-ps4.html
En sucursal: $1,299.99
Online: $1,145.00

If I went to the brick and mortar store and bought SF5, it would be 1300 pesos, 1145 if I ordered online and went to pick it up/got it shipped. Dark Souls would probably be similar.

Fifteen minutes was all I could take of Cast of the Seven Godsends. Rarely have I been so immediately and thoroughly repulsed by a game. I can't even bear the thought of loading it up again, and so I sit here struggling to describe my loathing based on mere minutes of play. But I assure you, it won't be as much of a struggle as playing the thing was.

Cast of the Seven Godsends opens with your baby being stolen by some demon thing and stuck on some pulsating altar, and then you die maybe, except seven mutant people combine Captain Planet style to bring you back? It's not really important, despite your character having dialogues with all the bosses and at the end of every stage. You're trying to get to the end of each level, avoiding or murdering the bizarre cast of monsters that stand in your way. Your basic attack is throwing daggers, but pickups can change them to hammers, shuriken, maces, and so on. Collecting other powerups gives you familiars or lets you transform into one of the seven godsends, each with its own special attacks.

It's not a bad premise, but the presentation murders its potential in gruesome fashion. I don't even know where to start... everything about CotSG feels wrong. The graphics are strangely blurry (the only resolution options are 720p and 1080p), badly proportioned, densely packed, and clash everywhere. The city level in particular is a chromatic fever dream of pastel backgrounds, bold enemies, fog effects, and washed-out platforms. The enemies are stiffly animated and glide back and forth like a GameMaker demo reel. Hits lack impact, sounds are missing, contact with platforms is iffy at best, and so on. Honestly the game feels more like a ROM hack than a retail product.

By the end of my fifteen minutes I was starting to feel physically ill. I'm not making this up, some games just look and feel so wrong to me that I start to feel legitimately gross playing them. Even if you're not as sensitive as me, there's no reason to bother with this mess because levels get frustrating fast out of poor level and encounter design. The nicest thing I can say about it is that it feels a bit like one of those lost NES or Genesis games that no one heard of. But then I immediately regret bringing it to anyone's attention lest they attempt to play it, so maybe we're all better off forgetting about this one.

I think the few games that actually pull this off would've probably been better if that extra development time was spent on one main route with some deviations. I think a good example in this regard is the Metal Gear Solid series, where you have a lot of freedom when it comes to gameplay but not nearly as much when it comes to the story.

What I'm saying it that it's probably not worth the extra effort for the vast majority of games.

So what's the consensus on Victor Vran? I normally don't like ARPGs that much but I liked Dungeon Siege 3 because of its focus on manually dodging poo poo as opposed to just clicking on monsters. How's it storywise and build flexibility wise? Are there clearly broken skills or can you just go with what seems fun?
