Wow, I'm a huge Miike Snow fan - I'd heard this song on THE RADIO a bunch of times but had no idea it was them!

(I knew they had a new album coming out but didn't release they'd released anything yet)

The singles are definitely a turn for them. They're lifting quite a bit from mike ronson which at first I weary of but came around to liking it. The new songs sound like rejected songs for other artists as well.

Loved this song since I first heard it on XMU, they've been playing the poo poo out of it since it premiered around Christmas.

Some great new releases from the New Releases section on Spotify:

"Soundcheck" by Catfish and the Bottlemen. Not sure who these guys are, but they sound like they have some earworms (if a little too on the edge of rock for my current tastes - but not too far).

"Death Dream" by Frightened Rabbit has me excited for a new album.

"A Season on the Line" EP by Glen Hansard. Holy crap this is really good. 5 solid solid bluesy/folksy/indie songs (I'm also a huge Hansard fan from The Swell Season to The Frames).

Well this is interesting: Rachel from Slowdive, Stuart from Mogwai and Justin and James from Editors got together and formed a new band called Minor Victories.

Teen's "Love Yes" is a bit uneven, but when it works it works really well - The immediate impression is insane glitz and poppiness, but there's a little bit of weirdness underneath the surface that really appeals to me. If you've ever secretly nodded your head to ABBAs greatest hits then i highly recommend this

They make me sad. It feels like they're just making sounds and not saying anything anymore. And the sounds they're making aren't even very pleasant - both Centipede and Painting With have replaced the warmth wth a slappy, metallic, hollow sound that grates

Video for "Voodoo in My Blood" — Massive Attack + Young Fathers starring Rosamund Pike and a weird orb.

I miss the days of MTV's "Amp" when we'd get a couple hours of videos like this :smith:

(Also the EP this song is from, Ritual Spirit, is four really good songs. They're putting out another EP soon leading up to a full album later this year)

I like it enough, about half the songs are good. It does sound all over the place sonic wise with just too much going on without much purpose or attention to detail to my ears. It's not bad but yeah they seem to have lost the special touch a bit. I blame Avey Tare, his solo stuff is a lot weaker than Panda Bears who is still making nearly flawless solo LPs.

They both grew on me a ton. I wasn't in love with either the first listen or two and now I love both start to finish. Person Pitch was always my favorite, but I think both of those have surpassed that in reflection now thinking of which i'd rather listen to at this moment.

I think person pitch is still his best album but my fav panda bear song is now boys latin and that was my favorite song of last year. pbmtgr was in my top 5 for most of the year too but I don't think the second half of the album is as good as the first so it dropped a bit. still a great record though

Diamond Youth - Nothing Matters loving rips and I wouldn't have ever heard it if not for this free album deal that may be over already. I snagged all of those Toe albums too.

Wild Ones album Heatwave is really good, the track Dim the Lights is pretty great. Also Ratboys sounds kinda like Rilo Kiley instead of uh, what I would assume Ratboys would sound like.

I love it and it's every bit as good as her (excellent) first album. I don't think there's a bad song on it, but I'd agree that the singles and Rendezvous Girl are highlights. Banshee in particular deserves to be her mainstream crossover hit (but probably won't be).
